New Cabelas opening

Have a new Cabelas opening in Louisville KY next week. Got a postcard in the mail saying they will let Cabelas credit card holders in one day before they open to public. Gonna head down with a few buddies and see what I can't live without! lol Should be a fun day. Next closest store is 3+ hours away. Louisville is 1 1/2 hours from here.

I visit the Hammond store frequently when I go up north. It's like 2 miles from my parents house.

Yeah, but about an hour away there is one 2.5 times the size of the new one in Allen

I usually go to the Bass Pro at Ray Hubbard when I'm in that area. Which is about once a year.

 

I think I've been to the other Cabela's too. It's crazy to think they started from one small store.

I think this one is 90,000 square feet. Probably one of the smaller stores.

Anyone ever been to the Cabela's in KC? It's decent sized.

 

I really like the big Bass Pro in Springfield MO too.

Eventually I believe the one in Hammond may have a hotel & waterpark. At least that's what they always talk about

............along with every mounted game animal you could ever imagine. Nice fish tank as well.

The Hammond store has an awesome fish tank it's huge. Almost like going to the Zoo

You are right about that! Picked up some .22, .223, primers, powder, brass. But boy was it a madhouse! Bout like black Friday, minus the pushing and shoving. Everyone was well behaved, guess they figured most people were packing... lol

There is one in southern MI in Dundee that I've been meaning to check out. I got a jacket off the website on clearance- normally $90 I think I paid $40. Great coat. I can only imagine how bad going in person would be. Haha.

When you do decide to go check it out, make sure you go straight to the gun counter and take a number, it'll be a long wait to look at anything....Be sure take your checkbook, you're going to need it! It's much safer than carrying cash at a place like that. Far to many people walking around and I highly doubt someone would turn in a wad of cash when they find it.
