So do I! It was mostly city and country driving. .. I'd say 70% city, 20% country and 10% highway.

Hopefully it will get better...I told my dealer I'll play GMs game... But the first tank after 2000 miles and it is going in. My dealer wants it now.

I would like to know what the majority of you guys put in your truck. 87?

I use 87 octane, almost exclusively from Shell. I get right about the average 16-17 around town. and Have seen upwards of 20 on the highway.

So here is an update for the truck I purchased in the beggining of December. I have owned this truck for a total of 4 months now. I am right at 6,000 miles and I am now consistently getting 18mpg! I took my truck on I44 over the weekend and drove about 100 miles on the interstate and was making 24.5 mpg cruising between 75-80 mph! What everybody told me about letting it break in was true! Also, my truck coasts a lot better now and I do not have to stay in the gas pedal to keep the speed up. I have made no modifications what so ever. I am now very happy with my purchase!

Really happy so far with results i've been getting in town. This is a 6.2L 2wd DC 3.73. I learned to utilize the V4 mode driving my G8 so the experience is helping with city driving. I really think V4 mode is easier to acheive and hold in the truck vs the car which is odd as I thought the weight and wind resistance would make it more difficult. Completely opposite. I guess programming advancements to this has improved over the years and could be from the additional gearing. My total average is at 15.1 and the pic below was my last 50. And yes I have rolled into it a few times but I'm mainly trying to see what is acheivable just city.

You're in the same boat as me, my lifetime MPG (3700 miles) is like 12.8 and I do 50/50 hwy/city driving... dealership told me to pound sand haha

My dealer is awesome...but I want to play GM's game because if it doesn't get fixed...I'm going to break it off where the sun don't shine.

My lifetime. Although at one point this past weekend I was getting about 25 mpg US doing about 60 mph. That's about the best I've ever had.

Question guys. I have a 2014 sierra stock 17 inch rims. I want to get 20's with some thick tires and want to lift front 1 inch and back 3 inches, who should I be asking to reprogram the computer so I get the correct rotations and mpg?

If I ask dealer wouldn't that void my warranty?

You are going to have some serious rake with a lift like that..

6.2 High Country 4X4. I could not be happier with the fuel mileage. My previous 2013 Crew Cab 6.2 was NOT even remotely close.
