Beautiful! Could you please upload a straight side view?

Looks really good! Any rubbing at all?

Posted

That's good to know Husker, thanks.

Does anyone know if I could run 295/70r17 tires on a 17x8.5" wheel with 0mm offset? I have a 2" level. A guy on GMFS is running that with a slightly different offset and says he does not rub. I just find it hard to believe.

Thanks for the help.

I am running 285/75/17s with a 17x8.5 with a 0 offset. It rubs a very small amount in reverse, but it only rubs half way before full lock (which is odd) and doesn't rub in full lock. It rubs on inner fender liner, but not enough to worry about it. Could probably pull the liner back a bit and be fine. My tire is 33.9 inches tall, and around 11.5 inches wide. I previously had a 285/70/17, and the new 285/75/17s made a huge difference. The size you described I beleive is the same height as mine, so u shouldn't have much of an issue

I've searched through multiple forums, but haven't found a definitive answer. I am going to be installing the 2" rc leveling kit (front spacers only) and looking for the biggest tires that will fit with little to no rubbing. Would I be able to run 295/70r18 on the stock wheels? .. what about 275/70r18 ? I'm looking into getting nitto trail grap m/t. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to decide which level kit to go with this week..one is the BDS and the other is from auto spring Corp...

The auto spring one is a one piece on top of the strut while the bds is a little different..the bds claims to keep the angles close to stock so you don't wear out the ball joints.. I'm going to do an add a leaf in the rear too.. Just looking to what the forum has to offer for advice.... Thanks!

Added the RC 2.5 level today with 20x9 BMF Novakanes +0 offset with 33/12.50.20 federals. Love the look so far. No rubbing at all.

The only component you might have to worry about them not honoring the warranty for is the ball joints.

When my old GMT-900's went out at 25K, my dealer changed them under warranty despite the truck having a leveling kit.

Im getting a level kit wed, i called a dealer and asked about warranty and they said it didn't effect it by adding one

275/70...yes. Can probably fit them without a level. Tall skinny tire. Might as well leave the stock ones on.

295/70 fit with a 2.5 level if you don't mind removing some fender carpet. Will be real tight with 2" level. Depending on which tire you choose, you will probably rub the swaybar unless you get some new rim with more negative offset (+12, +18, 0)

285/65 is your safest tire.

What brand tire is that, toyo MT? I'm trying to figure out what the manufacturer says the actual specs on the tire is. I thinking about getting some 295/60/20 cooper stt pro that measure 34.2 and 11.5 on a 2" level but I'm not sure if they will rub or not?

Finally got some tires on. 285\60r20 duratracs. I didn't think they would rub but they do on the sway bar at full lock. Going to put on .25 spacers to see if it helps.

Lift is 2.5 rc in front and 1.75 block in back. I'm thinking about going back to the stock block and putting on a 1.5 body lift but I can't decide

I see people running 295/55/20s with no rub, which is a 33/12.5. I looked at the factory specs on that tire of yours it is says its 33.5/11.5. Is that 0.5" on the height really making that much of a difference?

a 295/55r20 is not 12.5 wide, its actually 11.6. and a 285 is 11.2. that's based on converting numbers

but ya I think its just the added height that makes the difference. Its not that much and I really have to lock it when in reverse to make it rub. I would have thought the 285 would clear no problems based on people running wider tires and no rub, but I guess not. I think the .25 spacer should take care of it though.

I plan on doing a 2.5 level kit up front with an add a leaf for rear... Was googling and seen some pics of 295/70r18 on the stockers...the cooper st maxx are looking good... Is there major trimming with that size..

Toyo Mt runs 33 x 12.2 in a 295/55r20
