How does the ride get impacted with the body lift?

Rides no different. Actually it seems to ride better. This is either in my head, or the body lift blocks take out some of the vibration felt in the seat of my pants. Either way, for a truck that sits up higher than stock, it rides like factory.

So i put my RC 2" level kit and Toyo 295/55/20's on this weekend. Install was simple, just like on my 2011. It definitely helps to have an extra set of hands when wedging that spacer in there. 295/

Cool. How much does a body lift cost and what actually do they do? Does the whole cab & bed just move up 1.5"?

Roughly $180. Yes, the cab and bed move up 1.5". The bumpers are also relocated to match. The Zone kit is very well thought out and includes everything needed. The instructions are good and there are YouTube videos as well.

Nice... Do the trailer hitch and exhaust get adjusted too? Also did you notice any additional impact to fuel economy or noise?

The hitch stays put. It isn't noticeable due to the design (I'll try to snap you a pic). I have a muffler shop that can adjust the pipe. No added noise or noticeable effect on mpg.

Nice looking level and body lift. I want to do the 2" RC level. What are the advantages with the body lift? And what do you mean you are having you exhaust pipe raised?

Yes, installed it myself. It took me two days. Mainly because I had no help. I also had 70 degree weather and a case of IPA.

The body lift is to get a little extra height without affecting suspension angles or ride quality. The exhaust pipe now exits 1.5" lower (notice the gap between it and the body). It bugs me, so I'll have my muffler shop change the angle so that it sits close to the body again.

It didn't rub with 2" level.

That's is a good looking truck man! I love white, but my brother in law bought a white one so I had to be different haha.

Wow even just the level kit really improves the look of the truck! Man, I'm pumped to get some rims, but shoot as cheap as the level is I'll probably do that and finish buying the other things I wanted to do to the truck before I buy them. Edited by 17silverado2248

I have to KO2's and really like them. Once you get them on your truck they look more aggressive than you would think, and for highway driving they are really quiet.

Is your set up 275/65/20's on a 2.5" level? I have stock 20 with +27mm offset. Looking to do this set up. Any issues with running? Any trimming? How's the ride quality. Thanks!

      Hello, wondering if anyone can help me with this little problem. I was trying to order the Upfitter Switch that has TC, Cargo Light, Blank, Aux 1-4.... Order was cancelled due to "not having it". The only available option to me now is the Upfitter Switch that has all these options, but in the blank space there is "Exhaust Braking". My truck is a gasser, so this is of no use to me.   I need to find where Pin 4 and Pin 5 of the X2 connector run to (i.e X61A - X1 - Pins X & Y), and manipulate that somehow to get my desired outcome. Has anyone done this? Would there be any implications with me just doing nothing with it and installing it as is and never using it? I have gathered that it is "momentary" - so there are some considerations there.   Please help!

      If it is oil and not fuel pooling in there, it almost has to be a head problem. Crack, or loose guide. Those heads are not known for problems, but...

      In the motorhome world, people refer to tire manufacturer's pressure-weight charts to determine a good PSI for their motorhome tires.   What they do is get axle weights for the vehicle at a CAT scale or other scale. Drive on, drive off, the scale spits out a ticket with the weight over each axle. Then, you know the approximate weight per tire on that axle. Then, you refer to the pressure/weight chart published by the manufacturer and set the tire PSI accordingly.   Of course, you will want to adjust (and know how much to adjust) when you decide to carry more weight. For everyday unloaded ride, bringing down the PSI within a safe range that still adequately supports the vehicle's weight relative to the construction of the tire can really help with ride quality and under/over-inflated wear issues.   I don't see why it would be any different for a pickup. The key is the tire needs to be rated to support the load safely at the PSI you've selected.
