2014+ Leveling Kits

Recommended Posts

I know I'm going to sound dumb, but I have a 14 Z71 Silverado and how do I know if I have aluminum or stell a-arms so I know which kit to order?

The only thing that would be affected by adding a leveling kit would be your camber and caster, which means you would maybe feel a bit squirly and have some darting on the highway.

Actually, with all the talk about ball joint wear, I thought perhaps so; however, it turns out that the only thing affected was the toe-in. Who knew?!?!

Camber definitely gets affected you can visually see it with spacer levels. The problem is that "spec" is a wide range and as long as it shows green on the computer they won't touch it.

Edit. I see your camber is negative that's odd I would have assumed positive.

The best way to tell is to use a magnet. If it sticks they're steel. If not, aluminum. There's no way to know if the factory suddenly starts painting the aluminum arms.
