Carder09 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 So today I got the news that I have orders to PCS to Mildenhall, RAF and I have a few months to decide what I am going to do with all my stuff. This is including my wifes car and my truck. I am thinking of selling both since they are ageing and I would like something reliable and I don't think the UK will like my truck much lol. Went on Chevy's site and saw that you can now build the Cruze with the diesel! I would love one of those! So I am thinking that may be one of my options to choose from while I am still fresh on deciding. Any opinions are greatly solicited since I am open to all and wouldn't mind something sportier but that gas mileage would be awesome too!
MikeNH Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 You really want to buy a left hand drive car when you're moving to a right hand drive country? If you're interested in diesels, you'd do good to check out different brands UK sites as diesels are insanely common there and you can get lots of models we can't here.
Chris Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Keep it GM look into Vauxhall Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk 4
Carder09 Posted September 7, 2013 Author Posted September 7, 2013 Vaxhaul VXRs look.nice. will def consider it.
SnakeEyeSS Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I've spent hundreds (thousands?) of hours behind the wheel of a Right hand drive myself. Doesn't take long to get used to. I've never driven a RHD stick though.
Chris Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Im sire there is a vauxhall version of the cruze since it is a global vehicle Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk 4
KMGZ400 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 the Cruze is a great car... not like the older GM products... spend some time driving one, try and drive a 1.4 T with a manual trans... RS not an ECO
SILVERADOSC540 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Drove a bad ass Holden Commodore while in Australia some years ago. Right hand drive was pretty surreal at first, especially with a big 'ol V8. Felt like I was going the wrong way for a day or two.
SnakeEyeSS Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Leaning towards the VW GTI nowNothing wrong with leaving GM for better car. Competition makes the market better. The Golf is one of the most popular Cars in the world for a reason. Even if VW has a shady "German" past

Really good deal on the year end models due to the mk7's rolling out sometime next year.
Carder09 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 I like the sporty look of the GTI, as my wife does also.
KMGZ400 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 while the cruze is a great car, its just too boring for me. its a great eco box. next time around im getting something way sportier.. BRZ is at the top of my list. the GTI's are awesome cars.. great to drive
