I went ahead and placed an order once i submitted my paypal I got and error code , then I got an email from PayPal saying the order went thru. I never received an email from the maps site and I checked using my email and it says no order found. Guess I'll be calling in the am. I also got like 3 error codes before it finally took me to the PayPal site. It would accept the vin , I would hit submit and it would say error.

Anybody else have issues?

A little update after talking to customer service they are trying to find the order . Money came out today from PayPal but the map people have no history of the order in their system. On top of that the website says the update is out and the rep said they have not been released yet. She said the website says they are out but they have not shipped yet they should soon but she didn't know when .

Which is funny considering the most current Map database wont even work on your HMI...

Current database (which is from 2013 LOL) isn't compatible with the software on the 14/15 (non 15.5) trucks. You'd be buying the late 2012 database which isn't that different at all.

Then why does it say that it is for 2014 trucks?

Could be one of two things:

1. The 2014 Legacy Trucks (IE OLD Body style) or more than likely

2. The next quarter of 2012 Nav Data LOL

The only available DB's right now that work on the 14/15 HMI are from 2012, the 2013 (2015.5 Trucks) Hasn't been ported for aftermarket yet.

It's after the vehicle has been produced ie aftermarket.

Its a different distribution channel for those databases.

The term aftermarket refers to not being produced by the original manufacturer. A part for a 2013 GMC vehicle made in 2014 would still be OEM not aftermarket unless i am missing something ??
