I was thinking about debadging my truck. Anyone have any experience doing this? I already have a 3m eraser wheel that I used on a previous vehicle.

Go for it! I finally figured out while pulling my side moldings off that parking it in the sun and a hair dryer with some dental floss is all I needed. No eraser wheel needed IMO (I was scared to use one on my new paint anyway).

I haven't de-badged the '14 (I kinda like the way it looks!), but I did on my '13. Just as Newm stated above, very easy with dental floss (or an old credit card), hair dryer to warm up the surface.

The most difficult part is removing the old adhesive. What I did, once I got the lettering off, was to soak the adhesive with Goo-Gone Gel, and let it sit in the sun for 10 minutes. Then take that old credit card and it should slide right off. Keep applying the gel and use a microfiber towel to do final clean-up with some good detail spray.

I haven't de-badged the '14 (I kinda like the way it looks!), but I did on my '13.

I'm with you on this. I've done it to all my vehicles in the past but I like the way the new 2014's look.

I thought I was the only one who thought this

My '14 came from the lot with the Silverado on the doors, de-badged. All it has is the Texas edition emblem. I think it looks great. It still has the Silverado on the tailgate.
