Gas milage

Is anyone getting the advertised 16mpg on the 5.3L? I've had mine for 2 months now with the 3.42 gears and averaging 13-14 and that includes the little highway driving I do. Feel like I'm driving it pretty conservatively to

I get 13 no matter what I do. My 2011 and 2013 were the same. I think it is my driving style and not the truck though.

I've got almost 5200 miles on mine and my total average is 18.2 mpg.

1700 miles, gas mileage 20.7, combination local and highway, 5.3 with 3.42 gear.

5.3 with 3.42 gear here. 2,600 miles in and I'm getting 17.5 MPG. This is about 60/40 city/hwy and most hwy driving ~75 MPH

Mileage has been getting better and better since I took delivery back on Sept 27th. Averaging about 17.6 on my current tank of gas. Truck has 1500 miles on it.

5.3 4x4 3.42 crew with 6.5 foot bed. 34 inch tires, small lift, Hypertech calibrator to correct speedometer/odometer. 10K miles overall average 20 as confirmed in the rolling 400 mile average in the DIC. Best highway tank 24 going from Flagstaff to Phoenix, second best 22 on long highway trips cruising at 80 like ABQ-PHX and Grand Canyon to Phoenix. I usually get epa or better on my vehicles, which is probably why I'm still getting epa even though I have oversize tires. Good luck with yours.

I'm getting 18.5 mpg to and from work. This includes red lights, traffic, stop signs, etc. The best I've gotten on a trip was 25.2, but I can easily get 21-22 on a highway drive. I haven't calculated by hand yet. I'm still within the first 2000 miles so trying to let the ECU get used to my driving so that things can be more consistent.

5.3 4x4 3.43 w stock 18 wheels I was getting 18-19 and best was 21 mpg. After the 2.5 level lift and the bigger 275/60/20 tires I'm getting 14-15 . . . I think I need a better alignment from a different shop cause I lost 4-5 mpg and that seems to be unusual or high.

Did you have your computer reprogrammed? If not, that's causing some error so your actual mileage is a bit better than you're calculating.
