I have the v6 with a flowmaster super 40 but still have the resonator, no floppy valve, you think if I remove the resonator I'll get a deeper growl? What about drone? I know v6 :-( lol

Resonator will definitely make it louder, probably deeper as well. The resonator is very restrictive. It will give you more drone, but its not going to make a huge difference with it removed. I say remove it and give it a shot

I'm tossing around the idea of a 22" or 18" today. if I find one in town I'll report back on which way I went

22" sounds exactly like stock, just a little deeper. 18" is nice. I had that one before the 14" I have now. I have a startup video and an incab I can upload for you. Sounds very similar to the 14", just a little quieter and not as aggressive of a tone. I'll upload it real quick so you can check it out.

Yeah, I'm mostly worried about the sound when I'm dragging a 7600# trailer around. Many exhausts sound good until you put a constant load on them... That is when the sound makes me wanna burn my face off.

I can stand Flowmaster 10's dumped in a bar hopper, midnight drag type of vehicle but traveling 20 hours straight pulling weight you tend to be a little more picky.

My guess is you'd really like the 18" then. Honestly the 22" is barely noticeable even at high rpm. You might hear a little hum, but not much more. 18" at high rpm you can hear it, but it's very subtle. Video is uploading now so I'll post it when Its done.

Here you go. Here's a startup and in-cab video of the 18" Magnaflow.

Sure is quiet! I tried getting sound of Magnaflow on 2012 and just got wind noise. It had low rumble at idle and muscle car sound when accelerating

Damn it...this is getting more and more confusing. I was set on doing the 18" Magnaflow SI/SO (P/N 11259) with resonator and flapper delete and RTP dual tips. But now after hearing Kerrslights 14" I'm second guessing my original plan. Is the 18" noticible in the cab or is it way too quiet?

I see that magnaflow has mufflers in a 4x9 oval or 5x8 oval. Is there any difference in sound between the two?

18" you can pretty much only hear under acceleration. Other than that it's pretty quiet. Nice tone, but not as loud or aggressive as 14". That's why I switched from 18 to 14. Very pleased with 14.

No sound difference. Just sized differently for different applications

Any recommendations on which size would be ideal for the silverado?

Check the part number I posted. That's the same one I got. As long as it's 3" I/O you'll be good

When looking straight on to the square on the flapper, do you rotate it counter clockwise to the open position?
