AFM is still enabled on my truck (damn diablotune has been a pita) and I don't get the helicopter sound with a magnaflow like I did with flowmaster

Lol you go through mufflers like I go through shoes. Let us know what you go with. Some people have been lucky and been able to buy the Corsa Sport muffler by itself. I've looked around and can't seem to find just the muffler.

Yea lol. Well to my defense, I really wanted corsa from the beginning but like everyone else, don't want to pay for a full system. I really do like the magnaflow, but I wish it was louder when getting on it. I'll let you know how things turn out.

So I actually found somebody selling a used corsa online. He sent me these pics. Sill trying to get more out of him, but it's a his suburban now. These are all the pics he's sent me so far. He says there is a dent in the muffler, but that doesn't bother me. He's got it priced at $100. What do yall think?

Truth be told, I don't want or need the pipe or tips. I'm just after the muffler.

Yea..what I found out is this guy had it on his 2001 Suburban. I called Corsa and talked to them about it an they said it would probably fit, but this muffler doesn't have components to keep the drone down or AFM. He said because of that it would sound different than the ones meant for these trucks. Not sure how that would've played out, but I just let it go. i think when the time comes I'll just buck up and buy the real deal.

Makes sense...

Regarding a Corsa Touring muffler for our GM trucks...

Some members posted on the forum that the Corsa Sport is too loud for them, especially those with 6.2L. I called Corsa about another question, and asked if they were planning to offer a Touring muffler for our trucks as well as the Sport. They told me, no Touring muffler is planned, but the noise level of the Sport can be cut down to approximate the level of a Touring muffler by adding a "pack" muffler on the head pipe side before the muffler (14" long X 3" pipe diameter glass pack muffler at Summit Racing).

I just put a Flowmaster Deltaflow 50 series on my latest Z71. Took first road trip right after and it wasn't bad at all. I have previously had a delete muffler then a Magnaflow 14 inch on my other 2014s. Cold start up is just right, AFM chopper not very bad, nice little growl when needed and with the Flowmaster baffling as opposed to the Maggie straight thru design you won't sacrifice any low end torque.

Thanks will look into that. Haven't made a move on the exhaust yet

Anyone running the magnaflow 11229? Thoughts?

What size muffler is that?

I've had the 18" and 14" now. Both sound great. Only difference is 14" is louder and more aggressive sound. Both are pretty quiet while highway cruising.

That is what I narrowed it down to. im calling local shops to price an 18 inch magna flow install, im just trying to decide if I should delete the resonator and flaer or not.

Yes, remove the resonator. The 18" isn't that loud and sounds great without the resonator.

What Wendy's said. Delete flapper and resonator. It sounds great. You will be happy with it.

Here are pic's of my Magnaflow #15318 for the 6.2, no drone!

Is this the 4" system with the 22" muffler? I'd love to hear some clips or vids of this if you could.

I went with 3" from cat back into a flowmaster 40 then 3" to the 3 1/2" tip. Sounds good imo.

    • And to top it off finally.......................these small GM LS engines are designed to SPIN!!!!!  Why choke them down to just off idle for cruising.  Why/how the "bean counters" have influenced the "engineering department" at GM is beyond me.   They took a solid platform of an engine and turned into a joke in OEM form!!!
    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
