One way will turn much farther than the other. Think of the butterfly valve as facing N and S (up and down) and you want it perfectly horizontal, or East-West.

Found a shop open on Saturday and had 18" Magnaflow dual to rear with 3.5 tips. $360.00 Sounds great and didn't notice any funny AFM noise. When off the gas or coasting it does make a slight flutter sound someone had posted about.

The flutter is what bothered me about the Dynomax VT, very noticeable to me with the throttle barely pushed in V4 mode. Plus sounded like stock at idle.

After install I used M5 and M6 around 60 - 65 mph and didn't hear anything when in 4 cyl mode, but I have hearing loss. Correct me if wrong seems I read the third cat is dummy and hallow and that it causes the flutter

I am not sure, could be. My truck does it with the stock exhaust but the aftermarket muffler just amplified it. The good thing about the Dynomax system is that if you don't like it then they will let you send it back to them for free and they will refund your money. Took a long time to get my check from them but if finally showed up last week.

i built a dual exhaust using all dynomax parts and a vt muffler . #1 it is noticeably louder than stock. #2 it still drones but it is better than most systems while using v4 #3 after a few months it would rattle at first start up so annoying that i took the muffler out and removed the flapper inside. #4 nothing gets rid of the drone like elimating v4 mode all together. ..my humble opinion

How do you remove the flapper in the VT muffler?

I pounced the flapper out with a 4lb hammer and a pry bar. The only problem is then you have a loose spring and a lever.so on a dual outlet muffler you can drill hole on the inside of the muffler to get the pieces out. On a single outlet this probably can't be done. Granted I did all this at the spur of the moment and to save me from buying another muffler.which for me worked. My muffler was a couple months old.

3rd cat is not monitored and it is NOT HOLLOW... It has media inside and can be drilled and knocked out really easy.

    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
