07Softail Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Any rubbing issues with that size? Nope...if it was any taller i think it would rub. RT
Travis Whitmore Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Thinking of doing the DJM 2/3 drop on my 4x4 and would like to run the 305 just to fill it out a bit more than the OEM 285 size.
blownZ71 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I am looking to do something similar to this with a RCSB 4wd. Looking for a 2/4 or 3/5. It has aluminum control arms and aluminum knuckles up front. Is there a way to get a bit more rear drop to eliminate the rake without going to a flip kit? My truck is a 4WD. DJM front and rear kits installed. 2" drop Control arms, 2" drop shackles and 1.25" block removed. DJM shocks on the rear. Stock Rancho shock up front. DJM says nothing about cutting bump stop so it remains stock. I got a good deal on some OEM 22" takeoff's and mounted 285/45/22 Maxxis MAZ-4S all season performance tires. I'm very happy with the stance as I like to have some rake. The ride is firmer due to the 45 series tire and the rear seems to be a tad bouncy likely due to the $50 ea DJM shocks. I'll look into some better quality rear shocks. Apparently DJM is the only company to offer a rear sway bar but after my guys at www.lowriders.ca attempted install and call DJM's tech line it's clear the sway bar is not comparable with a 2015 as it hits the exhaust and hitch I'll be installing some air bags come spring when I throw my track bike in the back for track days.
CyaskAK Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Spoke to lowriders.ca today and they said DJM does make versions for both steel and aluminum CA's. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Here's my '14 with the aluminum front end. DJM 4" kit (2515-4), and Belltech flip kit. Factory 18" wheels on 265/65r18. On level ground, it sits at 32" front and rear.

tonyselevation Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Whats up Fellas!. Newbie here. Here is my blacked out 15 Sierra Elevation Edition. I just wanted to post my setup in case anyone else was thinking of running a similar set up. Im currently only running 2" belltech shackles in the rear. Wheels are 22x9.5 with 31mm offset. Tires are 305/45/R22 Grabber UHP. No Vibrations, bottom out or rubbing, even on full lock. Hit me up with any questions. Edited January 24, 2016 by tonyselevation 1
jon_solo Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Looks good tony...new here also...I'm having mine done on Wednesday. Just picked up a 2016 SLT with the GMC 22s and it's measuring 36.5 in the front and 39.75 in the rear so I'm doing 2" shackles and swapping the factory block for an aluminum 1/4" block. I'll still have a 1/4" rake which shouldn't be noticeable over the length of the truck. The guys at the shop (who do a lot of trucks) swear I won't need any pinion angle shims so we'll see. Dino76033 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Should I go with bell tech 6400(1-2") or 6401(2-3") if I'm wanting to sit level? I haven't really read about anyone using 3" drop shackles.
07Softail Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I'm not sure 3" shackles are an option....2" are the only ones i'm aware of. RT

Pretty sure to get to the 3" on the 6401 you have to remove the factory block and use the 2" setting on the shackles. The factory block though is more like 1.25" which is why I ordered a .25" replacement block. That should give me 3" total drop. I'll know a lot more around 1:00EST tomorrow so I'll follow up!

I haven't really read about anyone using 3" drop shackles.[/quote Actually the 6401 is the 2" shackles with some spacers for the u bolt nuts. In order to get that extra inch the require you to remove the block and add the spacers to make sure you have enough thread to tighten on. And Jon, I read some other members using a 1/2" block and getting it pretty darn close to level. I will also be doing the 1/2" block soon. The last thing I want is to have higher front than rear. I'll keep you guys posted.
