Please let us know how the 8504's ride. I'm dropped 2" in the back, still running the stock shocks.

Well, I can only compare them to the Ranchos, and I can tell you its a much plusher ride. The Ranchos were just gross, bouncy, made the truck feel like it was twisting all over the place. Feels much more planted now. And yeah, its a Z71 4x4 done up as a street truck, so what? Haha. I couldn't find a an SLE 4x4 anywhere

Does anyone know if this bushing is supposed to be put back on with the Belltech 25004 drop strut? The instructions say to remove it with the cup, but the install just says to install the cup and doesn't mention this bushing/ spacer. The picture also looks like it shows more thread during assembly than I have with the spacer installed.

Any help is appreciated.

That is the Bump stop... I would install it

I am talking about the spacer sitting on top of the bump stop in the picture.

I got ahold of Belltech today and they told me to leave the bushing out in case anyone ever wonders as I did.

Secondly, I have it all back together and have "service stabilitrak" screen followed by "steering assist reduced drive with care" screen after. Install was easy and I didn't have to unhook anything besides the sway bar end links.

It is strange because it needs aligned as I knew it would, but I couldn't believe the steering wheel was pointing around 10:30 to go straight.

Could this cause my service screen or do I need to look elsewhere? Has anybody else had this installing belltech 2" drop struts?

Mh167002......your's is a 4x4 correct? Could you please post some pics of how your truck sits now? Also, what did you lower the rear with?

Yes. It is A 4X4 Z71.

I used Belltech 25004 Drop Struts to get 2 inches lower in the front and Belltech 6400 2"drop shackles to drop the rear followed by removing the factory lift blocks.

Here is how it sits right now.

I got it aligned today and he performed a reset of the steering sensor and my stabilitrak is working fine. The ride is a lot nicer with these struts compared to the stock Ranchos.

Okay..... if I missed it forgive me but I searched this thread and found nothing definitive. I have a 2015 4x4 with steel spindles and control arms..... have people successfully installed the Belltech 2509 spindles on those or not? Belltech says 2wd only but then other sources flip flop on it. I mean worst case scenario is I take it apart and find out lol.

During my research, I learned that the Belltech 2509 spindles should only be used with steel control arms (which you have). I was not able to get a solid answer as to why they do not recommend it for a 4x4.

Guess it depends how low you want to go in the front. If its just 2", then Belltech BEL25004 struts worked fine on my 2015 4x4. It actually measured 1.75" lower in the front (need to take in to consideration that lowering the back like I did pivots the nose of the truck upwards a little)
