From what I've read...the Airaid MIT is the best option and best price, why go any other route? I'm sold on it...

Where/what is the discount code for airraid? Thanks

Just installed the MIT last week. Definitely worth it. It sounds good and I noticed a slight bump in MPG.

Got this on sale for $210 shipped, K&N cold air intake. Very happy with it, haven't had it on long enough to notice MPG differences. Sounds good too.

I just installed the aFe Momentum GT intake, this made a big difference in throttle response.

I started with a K&N drop in filter but decided to go with an intake, night and day difference in response.

The only thing negative thing I noticed when I put on the intake was the acceleration was "rougher" (not talking about the noise), less refined is the best way I can describe it. It didn't bother me but I did notice this as well as my wife when she was driving it.

However I decided to add the aFe TB Spacer, this brought back the refinement to the acceleration. I can't say that I notice it made much of a difference in power, mostly top end seemed to pull more consistent but it did make it much smoother like stock but kept the added throttle response.

I really like the way the two work together, makes the truck much more enjoyable to drive and to get on the gas. Not only do I have the added power/throttle response but also the refinement is back.

For those who have added MIT to their 2014, is it really worth it? I've had several CAI on past vehicles, but felt it was money wasted. No noticeable difference other than noise. I've heard a lot of + on the MIT, yet haven't brought myself to purchase one. I guess I like to see proven numbers.

The proven numbers are in the completed tests, which can be found just a couple pages back. The MIT has the best HP gains out of any intake for our 5.3L.

Yeah I looked at those before. Thanks. I'm leaning toward trying one and possibly a tune. I'm just not sure I want to risk loosing warranty with a autocal.

started a new thread but ill ask it here too

on the airaid kit the airbox covers up the factory hole to the fender, correct? If so is there a reason they do this? Any reason not to cut a hole in the box to open this up?

Anyone get the AEM Brute Force CAI?

So for the guys using the mit im guessing there is no reason to change the filter. (I.e. going the junior route)

It's an expensive filter, and most guys have free air filters for the first 2 years. I don't see any value in buying airaids filter... the tests were done with the stock filter and it performed well. The MIT accounts for the power difference.

I installed the MIT and did the airbox mod on my 14. It sounds like an Old Q-Jet on a bigblock now.
