Mine are perfectly fine, you sure you had them on the correct side because if not they are way to far forward.

Yes, I had two people involved from their corporate office, emailing pics back and forth and two videos..... When I put my foot on the step it's way forward and puts me into the dash as I made the step....

They could have sent a wrong set or something. I haven't had anybody complain about the hoops being too far forward or anything. That's anybody from friends and family including my grandmother. I don't need it but when I tried it, it seems fine for me. Maybe you have long legs? The hoops seems to be lined up for the floorboards in front of the deats. Did they look like the ones in the pic of my truck?

Do these mount to frame or rocker? And what is the difference? I've been told to get frame mounted running boards by a few people

My Raptor stainless mounted to the body bolts with additional intermediate supports in the middle attached to the rocker panel with "U" bolts.

My nfabs on my rubicon were the same way. The steps were way forward and other than looks, pretty useless. That's kept me from purchasing for my silverado.

Anyone have AMP Research steps with the lights not work? Both my rear lights were not working and finally go around to checking it out. The rear lights are just dead. I can't remember if they were working when I installed them. It took me a while to even notice them not working since I don't get into the back and the fronts do light the back up enough to work really. I'll be calling them tomorrow since I emailed them about the issue a month ago asking if they had issues of any kind, but they never even replied.

When you got the steps, do you remember if there was a (I think it was) blue sticker on the bag with the LEDs? AMP had a bad batch of LEDs that we're going out prematurely and so they corrected it and put stickers on the bags of LEDs that they produced after the change to signify that you got a good set of LEDs. Call them or enail them one more time and they should send you a new set for free. Or you could add a strip of LEDs that spans the entire length of the step. I did that and am much happier with this route than using the lights from AMP. I still have my AMP lights though but they are in my toolbox in the bed of my truck.

comparing where the steps are on yours and where they are on my stock boards, i really thing they are too far forward, which sucks because i dont like the look of mine, and dont want power steps..

they totally got it wrong, heeds to be 4-6" further back

I was thinking about upgrading them as they are only two little LEDs in each light, but right now I'm doing all sorts of other things and just want to fix what I have. I will likely upgrade them later. I got one of the early sets when they are having trouble keep up with demand and I don't think they had blue on the bags. I'll just call them this time since they didn't respond to my previous email asking if exactly if they had any issues, which apparently they did. So, not responding to me has annoyed me more now. Thanks for the info.

No problem. If you want I could even send you mine. You will need new 3M tape on the back (I could cut you some and put it on there as I have plenty). Just pay for shipping and they are yours

I'm sure I could get them shipped for pretty cheap. If it's cheap enough I'll even just eat the cost and not worry about it.

Just got Christmas gifts (cash) to buy the AMP Power Steps. Anyone seen any good deals online or coupons that knocked the price down pretty good?

Quality bumper has a 20% off all order coupon and no tax if you're not in AZ. Got mine from them with 15% off awhile ago. Great customer service. Give them a look.
