Finally got around to testing all the usb and 12v outlets. USB in compartment work, and all of my (4) 12v outlets work, as well as the 120v. The (2) front usb do not work. Even though I tapped into the 6pin with a 6pin (3 wires). Do I need more than the 6pin? All I want it for is charging.

In order for the USB hub to work, it needs the 6 pin and the USB. The HMI has two usable USB ports. Green and black. If you have the (2) Port USB up front, there should be (2) USB ports in the back. The left side port accepts a grey USB. The right side is an output an accepts a black USB cable.

If yo want to keep the glove box USB (Green - Female USB Receptacle), then you’ll need.

Black -> Grey (from HMI to front USB)
Grey -> Brown (to feed the brown female jack in the front). Or Black to Grey (if you completely removed the full console harness).

Hope this makes sense.

I might need this harness you're going to build.  In some of you pictures it showed 2 orange plugs under the radio.  My truck does not have those even though I have the LT with 8" screen.  I want all only plugs to work if possible

The two orange plugs is for the 110V Outlet.  Do you not have that now under the radio?

My harness will not have provisions for this.  This connection is dependent on the DC to AC Adapter behind the radio.

So I'm screwed for having any of those front console plugs work?

For the outlet plug... yes. I don’t know what the requirements are for adding that. I know the inverter is behind the radio.

The USB Ports and 12V Cig lighter Plugs should be easy.

That would even work. The usb and cigarette lighter plugs. Only 1 plug has power up front and both of the usb inside the console lid work. I'd like to get as much working ad I can along with the wireless charger. I figured I wouldn't be able to get everyrhing working but if I can get those few things going I'll be very happy

Yep. The 2nd Cig lighter up front is on a separate circuit, but can be easily tapped by the one next to it.

For the USB ports... do you have one in the glove box? Is it working?

The HMI only has (2) USB outputs that you can use. So we have to be “creative” with how to wire it up.

IF the front USB is a dual, you have a 16/17 model hub. It has an Input and an output, and you can daisy chain from it.

IF you have a triple USB up front, this is the 14/15 version and only has (1). Input in the back.

I have the one in the glove box tbat works the 2 inside of the console lid work as well. The pair on the outside of the console don't. There is no plug for them

Yep.  If you take the front Dual USB out and look at the back side, you should see (2) USB Ports and a 6-pin.  One of the USB ports is an input (comes from the Black Port of the HMI - is Grey coming in). Should be a black to Grey USB Cable.  THEN, the other port is an output.  This needs a Black to Grey USB Cable to feed the inside compartment USB Hub.

IF you are using the brown USB Cable that comes with the console, then you need to figure which color combination you need.  The key is coming FROM the HMI to the front USB port first.  Then feed off of that one to the inside compartment.

So essentially, you need (2) Black to Grey USB Cables.

My brain is not comprehending any of this :(

If you want to come down when you get your truck back together I'll help you out.

Basically - your HMI only has (2) USB outputs. It can only feed (2) Hubs.

In your case, and in the case of us 2016+ owners that wants to do this... we have 3 hubs.

- Glove Box (1 USB)

- Front Console (2 USB)

- Inside Compartment (2 USB)

In order to get all 3 locations live, 1 cable will go from the HMI to the Glove. This is the existing Green to USB cable (already present)

This leaves you with the Black USB port on the HMI. From here, you have to go the front console USB (Using a Black to Grey usb Cable).

Then, the other port of this hub feeds the inside Compartment hub

PM and can send pics of how this is done.
