OK OK here is the proof. The POP N LOCK, well you will just have to take my word on it. It was smart on my part to wait to install that when I did the boards since I had to route the wiring and essentially remove the same interior pieces. I have the truck BedRug coming later today and I will install that soon with the weather sealing kit for the tailgate and the foam blocks under the side rails. It is a little dirty since we had a ton of rain here last night and into this morning.

Dave, where did you purchase those AMP boards? I'm trying to see where is the cheapest place to get them.

How difficult was it to install? Couldn't have been hard since it is PNP

You guys might think I'm crazy but I plasti dipped the chrome on the front today. I felt crazy spraying a brand new 40k+ truck but I think it turned out good. Going to do the back bumper later and then I have to find the right paint for the Chevy logo and calipers but it will be different thats for sure.

What do you think so far though?

Looks good man. I dont understand why people would hate on Plasti dipping. Its inexpensive, easy to do, looks really good, and wont hurt your paint or chrome. And if ya dont like it or want to change it, ya just peel it right off.

Interested to see what it looks like with the bumper.

Went to my alignment shop to make an appointment to put in some lower spacers and they said "how about now?". 1 1/2 hrs and they were done.

Took my truck to the shop that did my Rigid reverse lights because they only worked when I used the bypass switch and not when I put it in reverse. Come to find out that my factory reverse lights are not working as well and this is where the Rigids are tapped into. No power at the reverse lights!

Called the dealer to schedule bringing it in to see what's up and just over the phone they asked if I added any after market accessories, ( I know the service manager pretty well and he knew there were add on reverse lights because I just had the truck in for an alignment after installing level kit, wheels and tires). Already over the phone he was trying to blame the aftermarket lights on the cause of the problem. The other issue is several times over the past two weeks when I have put it in reverse I got a green screen from the reverse camera and a message to service reverse camera. I somehow relate the two problems and can't see the Rigids being the cause , but we all know the dealer will find Any way to squeeze every dollar out if you. Will be bringing it in Monday to see what the problem is. Can't wait for this boxing match!

Go into your audio settings and shut off the HD option to stop that.

I have the Stubby from Craven speed and it works fine for both regular and HD but I live close to the city and where the radio stations I listen to are located.

    • It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.
    • It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
    • Are you playing Slide Down endlessly but your score is still low? Are you constantly crashing into obstacles as the game speed increases? Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear). This gives your brain an extra 0.5 - 1 second to process the situation and determine the direction of movement before the obstacle approaches. 2. Use gentle movements; don't swipe too hard. Slide Down is very sensitive. Moving your finger too forcefully or with excessive amplitude will cause your character to be thrown off course or crash into a wall. Practise moving your finger with small, decisive, and precise movements. 3. Don't be greedy for gold in dangerous locations. Gold coins are tempting for buying skins, but life is more important. If you see a gold coin right on the edge of a cliff or next to a spike trap, ignore it. Our goal is a High Score, and your score only increases if you survive. 4. Make the most of Power-ups. During the slide, you'll encounter items like Magnets (attract gold) or Shields (temporary invincibility). Never miss them! Especially the Shield, it's your "get out of jail free card" to help you get through those deadly fast sections. 5. Stay calm when speed peaks. When your score exceeds 500 or 1000, the game speed will be very fast. At this point, don't try to think logically; let your natural reflexes work. Take deep breaths and don't panic. Apply these 5 tips to your next game, and your leaderboard will surely improve dramatically. Good luck climbing the Slide Down leaderboard!
