Just ordered a set of AMPs from Morrie at TonneauFactoryOutlet. Hope to have them installed this weekend!

I bought a tonneau cover from AutoAnything and for whatever reason it wouldn't be able to ship for a couple weeks. I saw your post and went online to TonneauFactoryOutlet and spoke with Morrie.. He beat AutoAnything's price (that was already priced matched from around the internet) and the cover will be here Thursday.. I could have even picked it up today if their Houston Warehouse was a bit closer to me. I ended up cancelling my AutoAnything order and buying from him

The grille looks great but I doubt it's a High Country grille since you have a GMC

Morrie is good people. I've ordered 3 things from him since December (Revolver X2, Pop&Lock, and AMPs). I hope you mentioned that you saw my post on the site.

He called me after my order went through and I mentioned I saw a post on a forum and that is why I decided to go on their website (I did not say the forum or you by name though). But that phone call was after I already paid for the cover, so it did not play into the price he gave me.

Roof marker lights look like crap on stock 1500 trucks, only if it was lifted or an HD truck. The rocker panel lights would be cool if I kept my running boards on. If I ever lift the truck and put the running boards back on I'll be sure to do both. Did LED cab lights on my 02 and they came out awesome, I don't think I would wanna be the one cutting into a newer truck like this though. I'll let the shop take that chance

Decided to dip my toes in the dash cam world and Installed an inexpensive G1W unit.

Video quality seems pretty decent when viewed on the computer.

Installed a set of Timbren bump stops this weekend but so far I've only been able to confirm that they don't impact unloaded handling. Now I need to find a decent priced camp trailer to buy and tow.

Alright, here it is, everything I've done today. Pretty busy but well worth it. Got it cleaned this morning at the local car wash (did a decent job).

Got back home and started off by replacing the front pads and rotors with Power Stop brakes and rotors severe duty truck and tow model

Moved on to the rear assist springs, easy install. Also hit the u bolts with the impact to make sure they were tight

Went ahead and covered the front and rear bowties with black vinyl, need to redo the rear bc I messed up cutting it so a little gold is showing

And last but not least I finally installed my bumper step LED's! This is my favorite of all the mods I've done so far, it just looks cool lol

Love the LEDs in the bumper! Do you have a part number or link for the LEDs that you used? How are they powered?

I used a black, aluminum housing, no lense, 16mm in each step. I used a dab of red loctite on each one to keep the nut from backing off. For the 16mm if you have a 5/8" drill bit it works perfectly.

When you have the step removed you look at the top and have the two mounting holes there. I just made a straight line between the two then measured to the middle (approx 3 inches) and drilled it. Simple and worked perfectly

Wired in with the led cargo lights in the bed, do not wire them in with the license plate lights as you can get a ticket for that bc you can't have white lights on in the rear while driving

I guess this doesn't exactly fall under "what I have done today" but this is what I have done since I purchased my 2016 Sierra SLT Z71 in late December. Just wish it didn't rain before I took these photos so the truck was actually clean.

Leveling kit

Ceramic tint on all windows including windshield

Black window surround

Paint to match mirror caps, door handles, and door bumpers

De-badged everything but GMC logos

Color matched the GMC logo

Weather-tech floor mats and mud guards

All Terrain Grille, painted to match

de-chromed and powder coated front and rear bumpers to match body color

removed front air dam

Amp Research power running boards

Back-flip VP Tonneau cover

Custom magna flow dual rear exhaust with black tips

New wheels with Toyo AT II Extreme 295/55R20 tires

Philips LED back up, bed, and license plate bulbs

I have a 2016 Chevy LTZ z71. So I assume it would be the same. But I would like to change out my backup and license plate lights. Is it just a bulb change? Or did you have to put on a resistor? Could you tell me the part numbers of the bulbs so I can be lazy and not do any research on it? Thanks in advance.

Jim
