2500 have a different frame.

Did you see if the brackets will come off of your old bumper and go on that one?

Not sure if that will work but it might.

I thought about that but it seemed that removing the bracket was going to a PITA as well. After looking at the bumper components, it looked like some of the components were slightly bigger overall too.

Why on earth are you taping them? Just get some high quality interior protectant and you'll be fine. My 05 had 10 years of road salt and the door sills looked brand new when I sold it.

The GM Premium Weather Liners for the front also cover the door sills. You could replace those Husky Mats with the liners and not have to use tape.

What kind of Protestant. Does it stick or a liquid sprayed on. Its not so much the dirty looks on it more the sand and salt scuffing the plastic from the shoes digging it in

I got the muffler delete done today on my 16 Silverado LTZ 6.2l crew cab. It sounds good inside, with very little helicopter sound. I did leave the flapper in. It's a little raspy for my taste I think under light throttle, but sounds pretty good under heavy acceleration. I'm thinking of installing a by pass pipe on the valve like the Borla to help it with better in v4 mode, and to clean up the sound some.

Got my truck back from the body shop today and I installed my headlights from Strykers_Inc. I had them do the surround in body color and the center in gloss black. They also painted the chrome on the bumper body color and I had them install black tow hooks to replace the chrome ones. This is by far my favorite mod I have done it totally changed the attitude of the truck.

You may have to change the top plastic bumper cover. On the HD's it is taller (the raised part on each end is not on the 1500's).
