ShamrockShooter Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 How is the road noise compared to before? Not much different. But I didn't do doors or front yet Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
6.2Midnight Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 ^^ Do the doors, floor pan, and toe board, you'll see a big difference. Chevy comes with better factory silencing materials than Ford or Chrysler. I have been doing prototype, development for over 15 years total for Chevy and Chrysler. When I had a new DODGE RAM back in '03 (lease) I was always checking my doors and windows to make sure they weren't open, I couldn't stand it.... 1
Sierra706 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 The doors have material on them from the factory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sierra706 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Not like what he's doing... I believe what they have is a seal to help the door speakers resonate. Your had to remove it, mat the surfaces underneath, then relayer a new resonance sheet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6.2Midnight Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 If my guess is right, looking at his work so far, he'll probably do the whole inside of the outer door skin. that will in effect, help cancel the road noise, and make the whole door a "box" for the speaker, and also give him more low, and mid depth. At least, that's what I would do, LOL...
