Thanks to@pgamboa for all his help and his perfect custom PnP harness. Also with any questions he answered within minutes. Am very happy with how they turned out. Also got him to do the key fob fold in/fold out mod for me :)147583e0184bdc6d568e9e1846ff5a81.jpg

Was the swap very difficult?

No pictures here.....installed the front sway bar to rid myself of awful Electric Power steering Feel....It deadens the feel substantially.  You can still feel it but it's half as light/loose now!

Did the Cluster swap the other day and now have a Denali Cluster in my 2016 Silverado LT. I like it! Now to figure out how to change the aqua LEDs to red. Then this truck will be a true Redline Edition [emoji23]

I want to know how to switch my aquas to red if you figure it out. I used photography gel to change my map/ dome lights to red but that was the extent of it.

wouldn't you just have to change the surface mount LEDs on the dash?  it's soooooo simple.  i did it to my 14 (red to blue) and it looks so much better.  my experience doing this kind of thing can best be summed up with this statement...  i had to go buy a soldering gun to do this... never done anything like it before.

i got my LEDs from oznium.com

first 2 pics are stock chevy dash, with dash overlays added from http://www.newtruckstuff.com/US-SPEEDO-CUSTOM-TIMELESS-EDITION-STAINLESS-STEEL-GAGUE-FACE-SPEEDOMETER-KIT-BLUE/productinfo/TMGM31B/#

3rd pic = removing the first red LED from dash

4th pic = testing the first blue LED

5th & 6th pic = blue LEDs installed

^ that’s pretty damn cool.

Havent done anything today. This week I’m going to do the Bambi Mod (fogs on at all times) and buy a 64” 8x10 and make a bed divider.

The swap was not difficult at all. More nerve racking taking apart a 2 year old truck. Just take your time, watch@pgamboa video 50 times and you should be good. Honestly took me around 6 hours for both sides including breaks and stuff. I would definitely do the swap if you are thinking about it!

That is damn cool, nice work!

I am referring to the aqua colored lights behind the hvac and behind the lights/ transfer case switch which is what I believe pgamboa is talking about.

ok - those are 'easy' to change... i covered the white LEDs with blue lighting 'gels'

i "blued" out all of the white LEDs.  eventually i'd like to replace all the white LEDs with blue LEDS, but for now, the blue gels are doing a great job....

the final 3 pics show a before/after of the entertainment controls with the LEDs covered in the blue gel (filament) - but it's the same idea with the hvac controls.  i found it was easier with the knobs to put the gel inside the knob as opposed to covering the LED - i just use double sided clear tape to hold the gel in place

The “easiest” way to go to the red is look on eBay for hvac controls from a Sierra. Chevy used blue while gmc used red. I believe they changed up the gmc to blue for 17 though.

I was actually doing that today. I had about 45 seconds of free time when that ended. Lol

So are the LEDs themselves white? What makes the blue/red illumination? Is it the lens cover itself?? This is interesting.
