Has anyone successfully taken off the “mustache” on the front end of a Silverado?

No matter how I bend the chrome tabs on the inside it won’t give.

I removed both clips on both sides but still nothingb4d74e012c0c97868d82d7c4d3df6091.jpg

Got Bored so Wrapped this piece in Vinyl.

Looks really good. I did all my interior trim pieces in Realtree vinyl. It was definitely a pain in the @55 over the corners. Helped out that I got an inexpensive heat gun to help smooth out the edges.

Hook up led plate lights and reverse lights.

Got my dash cam hooked upc04214cdfb0b7557c25dc4ee688bcec9.jpg

Have a bunch of red Silverado logos so tried one on the front really hard to make it look straight because of the slight decline/incline

A decal would probably be easier.  I can just imagine the headache trying to clean bug guts from inside the letters.  Lol!

Finally got around to cleaning/repainting my ugly, rust covered frame. Did everything behind the front fenders, my wax is still well in tact up in the front.

So what you want to do is start from either side and work your way to the opposite side, I’ll recommend having several flat heads so when you pry them out and insert a flat head in place so they tabs don’t lock on you again, asked dealer how much they charge to remove it and said 200 cause they need it to take the front bumper off, I did it in 15 min.

Give them a 1/4 turn (I forget which direction) each, drive that way for a couple weeks, then adjust again, if they keep flashing you.  I uploaded a image of how to do adjust them, somewhere, but the trick, with that one, is to have a flat driveway/parking lot and a garage door/wall @ 90º angle with pavement.
