A dance move... just kidding it’s an actuator that allows our tailgates to kick with our keyless system. Something that should be standard on every truck...

Well, originally I took off the factory bowtie - I like it but it just looked huge to me. Ran without it for a while, now I went with a smaller version of the same thing. I think it's off a 16' Malibu/or a volt. Anyhow it's about half the size of the stock one. That's cool you couldn't easily tell the difference. I like subtle mods where you have to look twice to tell it's different.

I bust moves when I liquid persuasion, don’t mean I’m too old for it though!

does this thing just lock and unlock the tailgate? Or will it make it pop open too? Looks like just lock and unlock to me, but maybe I’m missing something.

With a couple more actuators you can rig it up to open also

Believe the 19's have the option to lower/raise/lock and unlock.

They do!  Bought a tonnue cover from a guy who had a 19 Silverado. He let me check it out and the tailgate locks/unlocks and pops with the key fob.
