Looking at getting the same shoes to replace the s/t Maxx I currently have. Got a price of 1400 so far

oh come on man. is it that bad? talk to me here

i have the 7.5" RC kit sitting and waiting to go on.

It is the cheapest possible lift available. Aka it is trash compared to better lift kits. I would put one on an older vehicle but no way in hell would I let such a kit come within 10 feet of my new truck. You get what you pay for.

IMO if I was you I would return it and buy a real one. But you will probably be stuck with a 20-30% restock fee.

Installed some new shoes! Fuel Maverick 20 x 9 +1 offset with Nitro Ridge Grappler 33 x 12.50. 2" level up front. The only thing I had to do was zip tie the carpet back an inch or so. No rub or trim. Really like the stance and look. The tires ride slightly rougher on smooth pavement than the stock Goodyears, but noticeably smoother on rough pavement. I guess the larger diameter and sidewall help with rough pavement and the 10 ply contributes to the slightly rougher ride on smooth pavement. Very slight hum, but not bad at all. A little more floaty feeling in corners at 40 mph or more, but again not bad. So far I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Thanks to Custom Offsets for a great purchase experience and a member on here (Robinson) for giving me their first hand knowledge with this combo.

I dunno personally but judging by what other members on here running that lift are saying, looks like you're gonna have some issues with driveline angles.

Gotta agree with everyone else. Don't put garbage on your new truck.

Rough Country is just a cheap, no thrills lift kit. Let me see if I can find this old thread from another forum that compares Rough Country, McGaughys and several other lifts. It's a great write that shows the differences between the brands and quality.

I watched a video on Youtube where a guy compared different types of lifts, as in cheap vs mid vs expensive. He said he's put a lot of Rough Country lifts on and usually it's just the bare essentials to lift the truck while sometimes it may not fix the angles like it should. Where as a good lift has more R&D in it and fixes angles and whatever else. So I'd rather pay more for R&D and an overall better lift.

Dude that truck of yours looks awesome!!! Gotta agree with alpine tho, you should get some amp steps and sell those factory running boards. That's a gorgeous color and dig the new ridge grapplers

I really like this color in this lighting. Brownstone? But on man those stock running boards just throw the look right off just looks like a hunk of metal hanging there.

Amp Power boards are next in line along with a Borla exhaust. The woman would throw a fit if I took them off before that. What do y'all think about the front valence? Kind of like the chunky look it gives the front.
