Interior LED light brightness???

Lat night the wife was going to write Happy Birthday on a Card as we were running late to a nephew's birthday party. I turned the light on over here area and she looked at me with a very disappointing look... " How much did you pay for this thing?" These lights need to be brighter...

So I'm wondering do the lights get brighter if I turn up the dash light dimmer, or are they as bright as they get?

They are bright, bright as hell. LED lighting is a precise beam and not a scattered light source like the old light bulbs.

I think really the problem is where the light is pointed at. They seem more focused in one area.

The LED lights are brighter then a tradition bulb but it's directed to a much smaller area. So instead of casting a glow you get more of a flashlight effect. My wife's found it useful when we're driving on the highway and she needs to tend to the little one. She can keep the light on without being a distraction.

I like the LED's personally. Almost too bright for most of my needs though. Would be nice if there were a dimmer function (is there?). Either some are more bright than others or I have partial night vision.... that would be pretty cool

They are bright, for where they are pointed. If I need to get something out of my console at night (I have the bench seat), its flashlight time.

I can't believe people nit-pick things so minor.... go away..

Why? Have I offended you in any shape form or manner? I can see that some may consider this to be a minor issue. It has no impact on drive quality, or safety. However minor to you it may seem, to me it is an issue. One that my wife will remind me of every time she sits in the vehicle. So I posted here in hopes of finding a solution. Not to complain, not to whine, just asking for help from fellow chevy owners. How is your statement bringing any help to this conversation?

Easy fellas!

I can understand where MTB's coming from. I like the new LED lights and they're are great at illuminating what's directly in front of you. That said, they're not as effective over the center console area as the GMT-900's were. So what may seem trivial to one person, might be a noticeable disadvantage to another who was used to the previous models design.

Let's try to respect each other's opinions and keep things constructive.

Exactly.

On this same topic is there a way to turn on all the lights at once like in the old days where the dial you turn up the dash lights with goes up a click and turns on all the interior lights similar to opening one of the doors. I know I'm probably missing something but mine stops and I can't find where another switch is.
