Stake hole pocket covers?

One of the things that made me buy a 2014 was the corner bumper steps and the larger stake pocket to grab onto. I love this feature. But in Maine we don't get as much snow as I would like. :)

Hey guys, after finding it next to impossible to locate hole covers for the 2014 Silverado, I decided to create my own for a 3D printer. I monogrammed mine but the files are blank for you to use. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1047932

I know most people don't have 3D printers but they are popping up around the country where you should be able to find someone to print them for you.

I searche'd a while ago and could not find anything. Since using them several times, I find them to be very useful for climbing into the bed.

I have searched everywhere, and aside from the ones that one member made himself and posted on here, I have found only one choice. PUTCO makes a pop-up tie down that goes in the rear stake holes on the 2014+ Chevy Silverado/Sierra. They are pricey at $130.00. I'm not sure I am willing to pay that for a tie-down. Hopefully someone will see a market for this and start to make something more affordable soon.

For those interested, I pasted the link below. The second link is to the installation instructions (PDF).

http://www.ebay.com/...6-/152097378796 A great story goes along with the development of this product. I would buy a set just to support the person seeking the patent! However, to me, this seems like a fix for something that doesn't need fixing. I've owned many pickups and I find that this handle and the bumper steps make this pickup the most accessible one that I've ever owned. Covering the pocket defeats its purpose.

Where can you get the stake hole covers to cover the front holes on the new Chevy or GMC models? These are only for the rear stake hole covers. Lots of money.

I hear ya but in the fall and winter it is nice to cover those stake holds. I've been looking for this for so long. It's awesome.

I just pick a set of the ebay stake covers up. Top quality product. Seller ships quick as well. Here are a few pics. Note my truck is dirty as it have been really windy here so colors looks off but they are really close.

I have to agree on top quality and fast shipping. I ordered them Sunday evening and they arrived yesterday.

Personally I don't a problem with it not being covered rather it's in the rain or when it snows. But seeing that you have a bed cover you don't jump into the bed anyways so you don't seem to need it. I just don't think it's a problem with snow because it will melt and drain. I have yet to see any rust start to build up in them other than using it as an anchor point for tie-downs. I think you're worrying over nothing, but that's just be I guess.
