how can i tell what litre engine is in my 92 c1500 silverado

i just got a 92 chevy c1500 silverado given to me by my wifes cousin it runs good but i need to smog it tried 3 times already and it failed to much hydro-carbons in the exaust so i was going to do a tune up on it but i am not sure what litre it is and i am not sure how to tell . but i know it needs a tune up its been sitting for 13 years up in the snow in northern california

A 92 would have a 4.3, 5.0, 5.7.

 

I think this one has the 4.3

Vin K is the 5.7L TBI engine.

On my 94 and my current 99 truck, as you open the hood, it tells all that info right by the hood latch on the radiator shroud Yes you can look up the VIN number, look here http://chevroletforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php?vin=1GCRKSE74DZ352793 and put your own vin # in. I went there hoping to find out what my axle ratio is but it only said it was either 3.73 or 4.10. Might have been a similar link on this site as well.
