Black or Cocoa interior? That is the question....

I'm bringing an old thread back to life... For those guys that went with the cocoa/dune, what has the wearing been like? I like that color on white diamond trucks but my worry is the girlfriend factor with her dark jeans. I noticed on a Yukon Denali with cocoa seats at the Chicago Auto Show that the seats were really dis-colored from people sliding in and out. Obviously those would have more wear than a normal vehicle but that worries me. I work at a bank so it's not like I get things too dirty personally.

There is a truck with that interior at a local dealership and I told her she'd have to put a towel down when she rode with me haha.

Btw I've always loved black/black. The heat doesn't bother me. I tint my windows, wear long enough shorts, and crack the AC when I get in.

I absolutely LOVED the cocoa/dune right up until it came time to pull the trigger.

When shopping, the dealer had TONS on the lot. When I decided on exterior color, I was pretty sure I wanted cocoa/dune but the test drive was in a black interior truck. So they brought around 2 trucks, optioned identically, only difference being interior colors... black, or cocoa/dune... and when I saw them in person, I went black. Just seemed more "serene" to me.

The truck I traded in (GMT900 Avalanche) had a 2-tone grey interior, and while it did look nice - it got dirty easily and after a while, I was unable to get some marks/stains out of the carpet. I didn't have issues with jeans staining the seats though this isn't the first place I've heard of this problem, so I don't doubt that it happens.

I agree totally. This is a big reason why I no longer get lighter colored leather seats. I also think the Black interior has a higher end feel and has better contrast with the other cabin materials. Just like an executive chair in a nice office......should be black!

There is no way in this world that your blue jeans will stain cocoa/dune interior seats. Unless you are dying your jeans and taking them wet right of the dye machine and sitting on the seats, there is no way your jeans are going to stain the seats. No way, no how. Do you guys wash your jeans or wear them, brand new in 100 degree heat, 100% humidity, wet, and turn the heat on in said 100 degree weather and ride around trying to create a stain.

I had planned on Cocoa Dune but found a Iridium with the Jet Black/Dark Ash interior and fell in love. I really like the contrast of the black and grey.

I have Coca Dune and have no "staining" issues as y'all claim... maybe learn how to get in and out of a truck without sliding over the side bolsters, LOL! Sounds like y'all need a step ladder.

I hate black interiors because they are so damn plain and boring... the coca dune is a beautiful color combo and the contrast is very appealing.

But seriously, it's your money and your truck.. get what you like, not what random people on the internet like.

Summit white/black interior with heated/cooled seats. Aftermarket, I had 3M Crytalline 90 Automotive film professional installed on all glass throughout the crew cab including the windshield and it helps tremendously in blocking heat due to high summer temps. Not cheap by any means but some of the best out there to reduce heat.

As to denim stains from "designer type" jeans, it bleeds to any auto upholstery regardless of the color interior. I'm regularly cleaning my wife's tan leather seats (use Clorox wipes) to remove the denim dye.

Tint your front windshield with 90% or 70% 3M Crystalline. I have the 70% on my truck and live in Miami. The heat rejection of this tint is incredible - my seats and dash are not all that hot after sitting all day in the direct sunlight.
