Passenger Seat Falling Apart!!! 2014 Sierra

Recommended Posts

I was wiping my leather seat down yesterday when i found a small tear at the front/bottom of the passenger seat? Then when i get too the rear I notice that the plastic seat pocket piece on the back of the seat is hanging on by one clip. Further investigation leads to a broken clip! Will the dealership cover this or what? Only had the truck for 10 days, NOT HAPPY!!!

If you are under the 36k miles/3 years your dealer will cover the repair.

Hope so!!! Also the small "rip"is on both driver and passenger side bottom of the front seat so i assume it's for a reason.

I have already had my passenger seat plastic backing replaced once. When the installed my TV headrest the dipshidiots broke all the tabs. I was cleaning my truck yesterday, and now the driver and the new passenger side backs are sliding again. Calling my SVC adv this am..

Driving down the highway this afternoon in my 2015 Sierra and looked back and my passenger seatback had fell down. Both clips were broken. Pretty flimsy plastic for the tabs. Would've thought that it would've been a little more heavy duty. Professional Grade my arse.......

Has anybody had the dealer fix this?

I was vacuuming my seats and my passenger side seat back panel was hanging of off at the top. Needless to say I have 2 broken plastic clips. I tried a super glue on the clips but it is polypropylene or polyethylene or both and does not adhere. Very expensive new pickup to have such cheap clips.

Just an update for anybodY who has this problem. I called GM Customer Care and explained to them. They told me I'm still under warranty and to take it in. I went into local dealer and explained and they ordered the new part under warranty.

Sounds like a fatty owned your truck before you. I say this because when my father was overweight (350lbs, 5'9) his driver seat, side plastic had the problem where some clips had broken. But if you are within the 3yr/36k mile the dealer will fix it no problem. But if you are out of it then you may have to fight the dealer. Since you just bought it I would think the dealer would want to keep you happy and fix it for free asap.
