Most Satisfying Vehicle You Ever Owned?

The other thread is about your pain. Tell us about the vehicle that gave you the most pleasure.

For me, I think it was a POS Pinto I had when I was in my late teens back in the 70s. My brother and I had done all kinds of mods to it. Full suspension and tire stuff...and the little 2.0L engine had a turbocharger, forged pistions, full blueprinted, ported, balanced, etc, O ringed deck. We had messed around with the boost and we were running 30 psi. The little thing would run 12s in the 1/4 mile at around 110 mph. A real sleeper back when 12s were only for muscle cars. Many 911s and muscle cars lost races to the surprise of their owners to that little POS. It was really a fun car.

My 2002 Silverado is first. With this 2014 Sierra being a very close 2nd.

The Silverado was the first vehicle that was MINE. Yes, my parents bought it for me, I was 16. I had a job, I paid for car insurance, gas, and everything else. I took care of the truck like it was my baby. Never took that gift for granted. Eventually I started modding and improving upon. Before I sold it in 2010 it had a 6" RCX lift, 33" BFG tires on 16x9 Moto Metals, Blackbear tune, K&N, Borla dual exhaust, Corvette Servo, sound system, fully custom HID retrofit, and im sure lots more. I loved that truck. I hope it found a good owner. I traded it in on a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS.

Now my Sierra is my next favorite. And I've had three other vehicles since the Silverado.

Ive had a lot of cars and trucks, my favorite could end up being my new GMC. But right now its our 2011 Geneses Sedan 50K miles and does everything rite. First car or truck Ive ever owned that I left stock. I like it so much I bought a Geneses Coup then traded it in for the GMC.

1987 BMW 325is

That car was just so much fun. Taught me a lot about car control and it was forgiving. Still sad that it got so worn out. Reliable, built like a tank, light and tossable.... and put together so well, back when the Germans knew what was most important: fun.

My Mazda has been a great car too, and its all I could have hoped for in a FWD car when In bought it, still a blast to drive.

As of right now I'm going to say it's my Cruze. The thing is just nice to drive in every way possible. A close second to it is the 2005 Silverado I had. I still can't figure out why I got rid of it.

My 2003 Corvette Z06. An absolute pleasure to drive. Without a doubt the 02-04 Z06 vettes have to be in the discussion for best vehicle every produced by GM period.

As far DD type cars it'd probably be my '08 G8 GT bolted up - unreal combo of size, comfort, power, good looks, exclusivity, good in snow (w/ snow tries), etc. Or maybe the '01 accord coupe 5 speed stick I had - never gave me a problem and had the great honda stick shift.

I would say my 1976 Chevy Custom Deluxe K-10, 350, 4 barrel, 4x4, "3 on the tree", but now my 6 year old son has now decided it's his truck so.....

My current truck is my most satisfying. 2006 GMC Sierra, SLE,...it's all in my signature. Bought her brand new with 45 miles on the odometer. Now at 123k miles.

Like many others my early car a 67 Chevelle 396, 4 speed hot rod. But my 11 GMC is better for me now. :jester:

my 1998 Plymouth Breeze pretty much matches your Story, but I Actually Paid for it Myself with my school money, it was Mine, and I paid for Gas, Insurance, and Any Repairs. I took good care of it until the very end, when the 2.0L engine met its untimely demise by my own foot. I installed several mods myself which included a Sebring Convertible Trip Computer, a Sebring Convertible Console Lock which I recoded to fit my factory key, a Cirrus/Sebring Convertible Leather Wrapped Shift Knob, Factory AM/FM/CD/Cassette Head Unit from a Sebring Convertible, Illuminated Vanity Sun Visors with Garage Homelink and Map Lights From a Chrysler Cirrus, and a Full Size Spare Tire. my Second (and Current) car is my 2010 Aveo, which is well documented on the Aveo Forums.

'71 Dodge Challenger....beat the dog snot out of that car, and it never let me down....brother totaled it hydro-plaining....spun it around, backed up over a guardrail, and into the woods.....the back bumper ended up where the rear axle was....as long as he was okay, the car can be replaced. Been eyeballing the new ones, rented when my Silverado was in the frame shop, brought back memories

Well, you said "vehicle", so I have to say my 2007 Suzuki V-Strom 650. It is my first choice for transport, unless I need to carry 2x6's or plywood or 1,000 pounds of dirt, or...............
