Drivers seat comfort?

I just took my first road trip in my 2014 SLE crew cab and I couldn't help but notice that after 3 hours on the road my right leg was essentially falling asleep.

I started thinking about it and it almost feels as if the driver seat is not level in the right buttocks quarter seems to be a pressure point.

I have messed with the seat positioning but no matter how it is set it always seems like there is more pressure in the right rear corner and anywhere else.

Has anyone else noticed this?

it really makes me miss my captains chairs in my 2005 GMC Yukon Denali

That's my only mild complaint on an otherwise great truck. The older cloth seats where much better.

I feel the opposite of you. I had leather bucket seats in my 2005 GMC Sierra SLT and now have cloth in 2014 Sierra SLE. My leg was always falling asleep in the leather bucket seat. Cloth seat in the 2014 is more comfortable IMO, even on a 1000 mile trip.

Longest I've drove mine at one time was to the beach and back for the day on 2 separate occasions. The time where I drove the most miles was 400 and I never once had that problem. I have the cloth seats if that matters. I never cared for leather, especially in a truck. I find the truck very comfortable. I'm only about 5'9" if that makes a difference.

It's all subjective because everyone is different. For me, the seats are more comfy than my '12, those were cloth, I have leather now and they are infinitely power adjustable. The bottom seat bolsters are not as overblown in size like the'12 was. I try and make it a point to stop and stretch every few hours anyway. FWIW, I'm 6'3" 175 and 63 y/o.

It's all that money left in your wallet for buying the SLE trim. I have that problem too.

Seriously, I just made a trip out west to and through the Rockies, 3800 miles. That damned wallet can sure be a pain in the ass after a little while. That is what that depression in the center console lid is for.

I do agree that the seats are not the most comfortable I have ever sat in, but they are FAR from the worst.

Dumb question, but those of you with your leg falling asleep on long trips, do you drive with your wallet in your back pocket? Take it out. When you are sitting your wallet is putting pressure right on your sciatic nerve causing your leg to hurt or feel like it fell asleep.

I'm very sensitive to the seat issues due to very bad back problems. My problem ( other than the clicking seat) is that the bottom of the seat will not adjust down enough. Due to the unfortunate fact that I have been put in several different rentals, all of these had plenty of adjustment to lower the front of the seat ( part nearest the steering wheel). This area , for me anyway would be better if I could lower it an inch or so. The seats in my other Silvy's felt fine. Unless you like to drive GHETTO style awl leaned back. With the seat back moderately upright and the bottom relatively level , I do not feel like I'm being folded in half. But your right about the wallet thing also. The only good thing about these cloth seats , they don't attract cat hair like a piece of Velcro.

I noticed this the first week on my frist 100 mile trip the right side near my ass cheek feels higher up and out of balance a bit I thought it was just me until i saw this thread. rear right

I find that the SLT leather seats in my All Terrain are much more supportive than any of the loaner SLE trucks with cloth seats that I have driven.

The seats aren't as comfortable as the buckets in the GMT-800's, but they are far better than the GMT-900 seats.

agreed, nothing better than the armrest in the buckets of the 800s. i bought an 07 1500 with a bench because the wifes 07 'burban seats weren't great IMO

The cloth quality in the GMT800 is definitely better than cloth seats in GMT900 and beyond. And even the seats seem to be a bit larger - or am i just imagining this?

Everyone must have a different butt. I traded in a 2013 with cloth seats for a 2014 with cloth seats and I think the 2014 is much more comfortable and like someone else mentioned the new material with the 2014 is very easy to keep clean. I'm 5'11.
