Quite a few questions (Lurking for a few weeks) Electrical/Interior

First let me say just reading this site and not have been a poster yet, the knowledge and sincerity is very nice to see. That being said let me give a little context. Just received my grandfathers 2007 Silverado Classic 1500...I think this is the right forum area. He of course had bottom of the line everything and gave it to me for practically nothing so I decided to put some money into it. On to my questions.

First off I installed an aftermarket stereo ( I fell for the trap with the accessory wire) Currently I have it on a constant on (I just take out the fuse when I am not using it) After reading for awhile it seems i can run the 12v+ switched wire to one of the open fuse slots. I am trying to figure out which one is most logical without causing any issues. I plan to just use a fuse holder or tap whatever works best. A few people say to use an unused fuse location for an upgrade item (Power windows/powerlocks/sunroof etc) I have a voltmeter so I may just need to play around.

Now I have a few questions that are probably just yes or no and then will require more research on my part.

1. I have a jump seat in the middle that does not fold down (No armrest) my plan was either rip it out completely and put in a salvaged center console in there, or a salvaged jump seat that does fold down. Has anyone had experience with this? What kind of cost am I looking at I got quoted from one salvage yard about $300 for a center console that "might" fit.

2. I have what looks like a hinged tonneau cover that I can not for the life of me snap on to its frame. My grandfather said it hasn't been on in a few years and I wonder if I am better of scrapping the thing or maybe selling it...I've been told even used ones go for a few hundred but I doubt it. Otherwise it looks like I may be waiting till the summer to actually use it so the vinyl can loosen up.

3. I am having some ABS issues. I read about a few recalls but my local dealer said my VIN was not included. Basically anything under about 10 MPH while slowing down will kick on the ABS and then turn right off after a second. I've been told to clean the sensor or replace it but without actually getting under the thing I have no idea how to figure out which one it is.

Sorry for the long first post I am a brand new truck owner and I want to hit the ground running in improving my knowledge and improving my truck.

Thanks in advance!
