No Glove Compartment Light

Well today I opened the glove compartment and to my surprise there is no light in there! What a joke! Oh well im sure its a quick fix. Has anyone added a much needed light to their glove compartment? If so, can u please post what u used. Thanks

I just use the map light on the ceiling console. Being LEDs even 1 lights the cab pretty well.

As most here know the little things we've come to take for granted in our trucks just aren't there. Weather in the sake of bigger profits or half-a$$ed engineers or a combination of both.

It's always profits. Engineering probably had all these lights and other little things but then it comes time to cut content to meet cost and weight targets. And out it all goes.

They likely used the money from the glovebox to improve the overall interior lighting system and provide glovebox light

If I had a vote, I'd agree with their decision.

It's just like when I saw the truck didn't have an underhood light. Not a big deal since if I need light I have a couple different options that would give me a lot more light. My old truck had the hood light, but to stop from the bulb being on when not needed I fixed it so it would only come on if I turned the bulb in the socket. The bulb didn't help much anyways.

If the absence of a glove box light is the only complaint you have about your new truck then I say your way ahead already. I for one (owner) could care less about a light in the glove box considering i seldom use it other than to store the owner's manual. If it is really all the important to you, maybe a small LED flashlight would be a better option that in the end would afford more utility in terms of its use.

It's not like your grabbing things out of the glove box while driving and need to perfectly see what's in there.

They move it to the center console storage area. My glove box is to small to hold anything.

At these prices I see not having the glove box, and hood light more along the lines of ridiculous vs an odd complaint.
