Silverado or Sierra...?

SIerra! The higher build quality (material wise) will last longer. I love mine, and can't wait to get the next one!

Higher build quality of materials, really? Oh, because they use a different material for their seats. Let's not go overboard here.

Do you like the front end of the Silverado or Sierra, and do you prefer a GMC logo or Chevy bow tie, and do you prefer the sierra fender/wheel well opening flares.

That's what it boils down to.

It's more than the material for the seats. Look at the door trim options on both of your Bowties and compare them to the GMC versions. Yes, the drivetrain, brakes, suspension and all things mechanical are the same. BUT, the creature comforts are better in the GMC.....and even better in the BUICK......and further more in the CADILLAC.

Not that there's anything wrong with either option, just worth noting that they are in fact different......and the price tags reflect that.

Sidenote 15LTZZ71, what is your thoughts on the race last night? The #2 needs to be knocked down a few pegs for sure.... Proud of Gordon and Harvick standing up to him.

This I agree with. Lol

Edit: door trims on the 2015 Silverado LTZ are the same as the GMC.

Well geez, don't compare the highest end Chevy to the GMC....you're ruining my point!!!! Lol

If you compare each equivalent trim there's no difference in material quality or options. The only GMC I would see is better would be the Denali because that's another step higher. But, now GM has the High Country for the Silverado which from what I've seen is the same as the Denali.

Do I think that the GMC Acadia is better quality or superior to my Chevy Traverse, No I don't. lol

I wanted an Acadia, the wife wanted the Traverse. We got the Traverse....I got my Sierra, so I can't complain.

Guess the point of this thread is ringing loud and clear....it all comes down to personal taste! What "lines" do you like to see on your ride?

GMC still has rear seat entertainment to itself, and now MRC, unless the HC added it for 2015.

I may be in the minority, but I plan on keeping mine til the wheels fall off. I haven't had a truck payment in years, and the maintenance has been way less than half as much as the payment per month. Sure, a new truck would be sweet, but I have plenty of other things I throw my money into as well. To each their own of course. I ain't knocking anybody else's strategy.

I certainly wasn't...until I got this truck....

I plan to keep mine quite a long time as well. But in the time I've had it its still in excellent condition. I think the trucks are comparable based on trim and the longevity depends greatly on the care of the owner.

Thank you for the feedbacks, appreciated. How does the V8 Ecotech3 motor performs...? When does it switch from 8-4-8 cylinders...?

So far my 5.3 is great. Of course the 6.2 is a beast. My 5.3 doesn't feel as good from a standing stop with acceleration, but that's only because I have the 3.08 gears. But, once it gets going it accelerates great. Of course if you have the 3.42 or or 3.73 gears then the 5.3 will start off much better.

As for the V4 mode, it's usually when you're cruising on the highway or interstate. It does it once in awhile around town, but not much that I can remember. You don't really feel it switch between the 2. With stock exhaust the only way I knew was seeing the V4 or V8 symbol on the dash. Now with my Flowmaster I can tell it without looking.
