Bottom front corner box protector?

I went to my local dealership this morning and walked out to the lot and looked at the 16's to show the owner this piece installed on the truck. While walking back i mentioned that there may be a TSB for this. He said he wasn't aware of any and so i told him to look up this TSB # and he was sort of shocked..

 

Ended up printing out the TSB and told me they would get the pieces ordered and ill have to stop back to get them..

GM released a TSB for this back in September (I don't have the number off hand), but here are the part numbers for the corner protectors -

23469126 - Left Hand
23469127 - Right Hand

I have seen some 2015 HD trucks with these from factory, mainly on white trucks.

What can i do with this TSB? Does it really help me in any way?? or should i just plan to buy the parts on my own??

TSB or technical service bulletin is used by gm

 

Basically when you have an issue and take your vehicle in they will troubleshoot by searching the tsb database. These are not used by customers.

They may not be used by customers. But knowing the number right away for the dealership paid off today.

Got a nice chip of my corner. Noticed it today when I went out for run. Going to try to get the dealership to fix it.

Showed my dealership the TSB PIT5454 number here in Redding CA. They would not pay for the covers because the warranty didn't cover it...bought them online delivered for just over 30 bucks. I will need to repaint some of the corner since my corners have chipped pretty bad.
