Hmmmmm..I see this type of clunky ,confused , Bucky behavior is spread to the poor mid size guys as well? I feel for you mate. Every thing you described is how my 14 sierra feels. Still waiting on miracle of god to get gm this update or fix whatever they need to do to fix this erratic driving experience.

My 6 speed has always shifted great. The shifts are very smooth. I have an early-build '14.

Same here. Mine was built May 2013. When in tow/haul mode, it still shifts seamlessly. I've had 2 recalls performed and 3 programming updates and the truck performs as well as it ever has.

I've been to the dealer once about my transmission and they were quick to blame my lift because I didn't buy it from there. My buddy just bought a new one they lifted there and his doesn't do what mine does. At WOT, there is a huge delay on the 1-2 shift like it's floating in neutral then slamming into gear, but if I back off the throttle a hair right before it shifts, it shifts smooth but just very soft. anyone have similar issues with shifting?

No, just the ones updating the ECM, BCM, transfer case, etc.

I've been to the dealer once about my transmission and they were quick to blame my lift because I didn't buy it from there. My buddy just bought a new one they lifted there and his doesn't do what mine does. Took mine in once with the bulletin about Mexican 6l80s after my first experience with this. They could not duplicate. Running E-85 I can replicate it pretty easy. Going in for oil change next week...will make another try to have resolved.

Meant to mention while my truck was in for headlights he checked to see if any other updates were available, there was a update for "clunking tranny", so far so good my truck seems to be better, although I only drove it home, will update later after another drive and update numbers on my receipt

it seems a tad more responsive, but so far it hasn't gotten "confused" under slow acceleration, example making a turn~~~~ so slow down for the turn~~~~feather threw the turn than give slight gas to slowly accelerate, there were times when it would hesitate, literally get confused on which gear it wanted and the famous "clunk" around before making its mind up, I hope that makes sense, hasn't done it since I got it back

This is an update the dealer did for you? on a 5.3 6 speed? do you have a TSB # or anything?
