Transmission fix finally for 14-15 sierra silverado! WOOOOT!

My truck is back at the dealer for a bad steering column and I asked my service rep again to check on any tunes and he says still nothing. He's pretty cool and knows my displeasure with the shifting so he'll be honest. I think anyway. All we can do is voice our displeasure. Take it higher fellas. Voices are louder over the phone with gm corp then it is here where the gm reps duck tail at first sign of trouble. Sheesh :0)

'been that way on virtually every type and make of product since ... well, since products have been made.

As complex as these modern vehicles are, they undergo incredible testing at all different levels, from components, assemblies, and finally the vehicle itself. Still, stuff happens that is unforeseen. There's no testing like 100,000 of your products in use.

I'm not talking complex, simple stuff like headlights at night, paint that flakes off if you look at it to long, an automatic transmission and a damn FM Radio for cripes sake. Elementary $#!+ here!

The FM radio I wouldn't say is elementary, it was a new supplier for the infotainment system since it was a clean sheet design. Though I am surprised it has taken as long as it has for GM to get it sorted out.

I'm talking about reception. I've had $10 FM converters in 60's and 70's cars and trucks that had better reception. You might need to get outta town once in a while?

The reception from these radios is terrible at best. I had zero desire to pay for satellite radio and since owning this truck its a must if I want to listen to music other than whats on my phone. And yes, Im in a major city in Louisiana and never had an issue picking up stations in any other vehicle Ive owned.

stop muddying up this tread... there are 1000 of other threads to complain in.

Has anyone got any updates on this Trans re program or is this a bunch of BS at this point? I thinking about getting a tune on my truck... ( primary for the transmission mind you) but don't want to spend $600 if GM is coming out with a re program.

I'm with ya. I'm willing to risk warranty at this point. My frustration grows more everyday.

i have tuned many of my cars before but refuse to tune this truck .

Last thing I need is for the motor to gernade and GM blames me for the tune.

Its unreal to me that GM hasent released anything yet. More than a year later ,

It's actually real close to two years for the Crew Cabs. One and a half years in the Double Cabs.

^ pretty much.

I remember this bs from gm all too well with the valve guides that were dropping in the 7.0 heads. They played the stupid card even though many different people were fixing them out of spec.

This is what customser service is all about , taking care of people after they have dumped so much money.

Well, if the headlights were any indication (TSB released to improve headlights), if people keep up the complaints, and bugging their dealers and GM, something of the sort could become a reality.

So... twelve pages in and still nothing official from GM as far as a TCM tune correct?

It's 12 pages of "subscribed".
