People, call your dealers about the Transfer Case update recall # 15304. It improves driveability and cleans up shifting. Dont ask me how a transfer case update improves shifting, it just does.

Reference this thread here for others who have had the update (including myself). It DOES help.

^^^ Agree 100% ^^^

Like I said in another post, I didn't know they performed the update when I picked my truck up from the dealer after an oil change, but I swore I was driving a different truck! I noticed the update on the service ticket the day after I picked it up.

I just picked mine up and yes it feels like a different truck now. I;m going to have to get use to driving it again.

SMOOOOOOTH shifting.

Definatly get this done.

Im guessing this is for 4x4 only or is this something for the 2wd also?

ETA: Never mind. Just read thru the other thread and saw there is nothing for the 2wd

it depends on when your tuck was built, i called, mine was built after and doesn't not need the update...but it still drives and shifts like shit. They said all my software is up to date according to my VIN and GM...

I hate hearing about all theses miracle fixes and and getting my hopes up, only finding out i cant get it...its a let down

When was your truck built? Mine was build in June 2015 I think. I feel like my truck drives like it should, and keeps getting better every day but if there was something that could make it even better, I would like that too.

My '06 f-150 with 160,000 miles drove better

Sorry for the delayed response fellas but I just completed the lemon law for my 2015 Silverado ltz 6.2, after going through what the gm lawyer and the the gm engineer put me through during my arbitration trial it's no wonder why gm is trying to keep all this transmission issue crap under wraps. They presented a 4 inch high binder of how the transmission clunking/hesitation issues is a normal operation of the truck. After a grueling 3 months of waiting I finally won the case and got all my money back I layed out for this truck and couldn't be happier!! No more dealer visits or issues with these pos trucks. I tell everyone now to stay away from gm and all that they offer. Absolutely terrible. Any of you fellas need help or advice hit me up.

It just sucks big time, that a third party can fix it, but GM can't/won't. What a crock of :bs:

why not get a tune and solve this

I'm about ready to go this route. The powertrain warranty and the fact that my 2007 was a POS lemon that required a $2200 transmission rebuild are the only 2 things stopping me.

I can feel the downshift, clunk at times only when downshifting. I removed a lot of that feeling when I turned off the AFM, I'm waiting for Diablo to fix my trinity, for some reason it doesn't contain the 87 octane tune.

My trucks a lease, so I could careless about warranty issues lol
