So are you going to order it and try it out?

my only real question would be if the rear defroster would work correctly, I would hope it still just plugs in like the stock one piece glass does to work. If this works I would be really tempted to put this in my truck.

rear defroster shouldn't be an issue, its only one plug in the same location I believe, I have to wait to do mine, i'm currently working on another project, but I plan to do it, I figured I would throw my research out there to bounce off people. First i would do all the electrical and test power to the rear. If successful motor next then window since its the most expensive part.

Let me know, I know from speaking with the chief engineer over the GM truck division that my truck has all of the wiring hardware in place as well. Hoping since it is nothing more than a on/off and not a function controlled thru the BCM that it is nothing more than putting the overhead panel in, removing the rear seats and cutting out the rear glass and then have the new slider glass bonded in and then finish up the wiring in the rear.

I would think worst case you could hardwire in the wiring if needed as well.

The right fuse box doesn't have plugs for the fuses and the overhead console doesn't have the slider switch pigtail.

Hmm, the engineer told me the pigtail is up there as long as you have a LTZ (highest Chevy option package) or a SLT (highest Sierra option package). I've had the panel open before when I was trying to wire in my radar detector, but I don't remember what is up there. Sounds like we may need someone with the over head to open it up so we know which wires to look for and how the factory harness is setup.

How do you open it up?

Yes you could be right with those upper packages, I was speaking on just my SLE, to access the pigtail, open sunglasses holder and pop the middle trim panel with led light down.

Thanks, I may have some time later on, if I do, I will check and report back for the SLTs
