Where did you put the stinger foil? I noticed immediately that the doors had a lot of vibrations.. Anywhere else you suggest?

My truck has both a layer of Roadkill and Overkill.

Covered floor from firewall to back wall.

Headliner from front windshield to rear window.

Doors have Overkill on inside of door and Roadkill on the skin closet to door panel. Speaker mounts are mounted on a layer of Roadkill.

Back wall has both layers plus the oem pad with just enough opening for distro box, which is also deadened.

The center floor has two layers of both, wanted to build that up since the sub directly fires into it.

I have zero rattles at full volume.

Way ahead of you bud! I am in the middle of a front end refresh that I am sure you are going to like!

Front End Refresh includes:

Updated Foglights (with Halos)

Updated Tail Lights (tinted)

Fresh painted Grill and Surround

XPEL Ultimate

Thanks Chris!

Stay tuned, I have a few more things to get done before I just say "Okay, need to take a break"......I mean......"Dammit! The Kooks and Whipple are just going to have to wait until Spring"......

Honestly, I am going to have to take a break on the big stuff and enjoy my truck in a state of "Everything is done for the meanwhile" rather than "okay, I will leave the back seat out until I get X done".....8 months later the back seat is still not in because I have 1 more panel to get finished which is still over at Kyle's.............LOL

Custom Wiring Harness

Morimoto Complete Projector Retrofit with Elite HID kit

...and before someone asks me why I went with SLE lights over the SLT/Denali Lights, its because I think they look better......

Front end photos will be coming when I finish my "Front End Refresh". I do not have a lightbar installed as of yet, not sure when I am going to do it. Maybe not until spring since I have alot on the plate right now.

Emblems (How to Stryker your Emblems): First thing I did was order a new set of all my emblems I planned to keep on the truck. I order from GMPartsNow.com because I have dealt with them in the past and they are really good to me. Anyways, ordering a new set provides you with a template that the emblems are adhered to which allows them to be sprayed and mounted with ease. Remember to outline the emblem location with tape before removing them so you know exactly where the new set is to be placed.

1. I used the Dupicolor Shadow kit for my emblems. Comes with the paint and the clearcoat, and is more than enough to do all the emblems on your truck.

2. If you went my route and purchase new emblems on the templates, they are pretty much sterile and do not need to be cleaned, make sure to wear clean nitrile gloves when messing with these.

3. Peel back the top layer of film from the template and set aside (will be used again to mount the emblems). As long as you have not touched the emblems, no need to clean or primer.

4. Make sure the emblems are laying flat when painting.

5. Spray a light/medium coat of shadow (just to get them covered and tacky). You should see how it pools up on the high portions of the emblems and moves away from the sharp edges.Wait the recommended time on the can.

6. Spray a medium coat of shadow. Once again the paint should stick to the high portions and run away from the sharp edges. Wait the recommended time on the can.

7. Spray a medium/heavy coat of shadow. This should be the last coat of shadow, and the high sections of the emblem should be black by now and the sharp edges should be shadow/black-chrome in appearance. If they are not, then your coats were too thin. To practice, I cleaned a few of my old emblems that were removed from the truck, and used those to get my desired effect.

8. Once the emblems are ready for their next coat, I used the clearcoat and put 5 coats of medium clear on them and let them sit for at least a day to cure enough to go on the truck.

    • I was around and remember that era very well, so I'm calling b/s on that statement. If they were that bad no police department or taxi company would've bought a single one ... but they were used in both services (and fire) for DECADES. They were bulletproof and proven. Even the early 21st century ones weren't too bad! The early models were legendary.   Mine is proof, but people like atlas are blinded by agenda and refuse to believe facts right before their very eyes.   Even decades after they were built, a new generation started driving them, posting all their builds and shenanigans on Grandmarq.net and Crownvic.net. The failures would show up then, since they all were deep past 100k-150k miles by that point, and younger drivers tend to be a little aggressive, especially with vehicles than can lay a one-tire fire for as long as you hold your foot in it. They've more than proven themselves over the decades.   The only thing that'll really take them out is road salt. The bodies and sheet metal were garbage. A victim of the cheapout FoMoCo and GM have been partaking in before then, and since.   Today it's the stuff that counts - the undercarriage that rots away first!    GMs Caprice was no slouch either. Reliable as a stone ax - the opposite of what they build now.
    • Let me know how your vehicles do in 10 years. You don't know ******, kid. 😂    There's a reason that Panther platform was used as police, fire, and taxi service for DECADES ... long before you were born, apparently.
    • If your connector also has a big lever to get the connector on and off, you don't want to force the lever either way, as it becomes a bigger problem if you bust the lever or the mechanism it works.
    • It's just useful to disconnect the battery to prevent odd shorting out when unplugging/plugging stuff together.  I also  touch the two cable ends together (after disonnecting) to drain the small amount of stored battery energy in various modules.   I believe the main system where you need to be more concerned with, so you need to do the above and then wait some time, iss when you are working on the air bag system, to prevent inadvertent firing of the air bags.   The in-cab switches are just that, plain switches, it's generally not a problem to swap them in/out.  For my '12, I'll get an error message on the dash if I power up the truck w them unplugged, but that's it (power up= turn the ignition on).   The ITBC located above the spare tire is a computer that manages the trailer brake system.  That is probably more important to have the battery disconnected.  It does have to be programmed to the truck, either before or after it's installed, for it to work.  For my '12, I had a very hard time reinstalling the main connector to it (IDK if yours is the same or not), it turned out the silicon seal was jamming up, preventing it from going on all the way.  I finally got it fully installed by lubing the seal with a bit of dielectric grease, then it slid on and latched in place easily.
    • JR ! I just got the truck back from the Dealership today . The technician did a cold remote start on the truck this morning and it made the noise . It was determined that it was a starter issue and replaced it under warranty . Of course   it did not make the sound after a new starter was put in because the truck was not cold . We will we see what happens tomorrow morning when I start the truck cold  . Keep tuned !   Oh I found a video on YouTube of a cold start and it did the same thing your truck and mine do , I will see if I can find it and post it up
