Playing off the looks of the Avenir concept vehicle, the all-new 2017 Lacrosse from Buick will be the first of the brand's vehicles to have the new grill treatment. For comparison, we have the current Lacrosse in this image:

We had to look twice to notice it, but the big change is the addition of a new horizontal element running across the top half of the grill. The shape is more upright, like all modern cars. This is most likely due to pedestrian impact standards driving the design. Buick is also adding colors to the new grill insignia.

Buick says the new Lacrosse will have a new chassis that is lighter, yet stronger and will also feature a new rear suspension. The body is to be more contoured (sculpted) and inside the emphasis will be on quietness.

Hmm dare I say that Buick might be further aligning more with Opel?

I certainly hope so. Opel has a much better design team than Buick could ever dream of having.

The only Buick cars on sale now that looks even remotely good are the ones that were actually designed by Opel (Regal aka Insignia and the new Cascada. (Which by the way probably won't sell well because of the ludicrous price tag which allows you to buy a convertible V8 Camaro).

That's a cross shop that won't be happening.

I remember a Neil Boortz quote.

"I really liked the Buick but the dealer wouldn't let me on the lot since I'm only in my 60s"
