2016 Sierra headlights???

Has anyone driven them yet? There a $500 charge on up models, are the better? Or is this because they had to put the GMC emblems in? And led strips, I actually like both headlights, 14/15 and the 16, with a slight edge favoring the 14/15 look, but very curious if nightime driving has been improved

I am curious too the 16 base and SLE trucks get HID projectors standard and LED projector headlights are on SLT and Denalis. I would love it if GM looses the newest class action lawsuit on 2014/15 GMC Sierra Headlights and they recall older trucks and give us the 16 design with HID or LED.

Even if they did loose 75% of us probably maybe even me, will no longer have these trucks so it will not affect us. Because lawsuits like this will last for YEARS! I am not a lawyer or expert in this matter and have done zero research however, if I had to guess, it will be at least five years from the date of the lawsuit before there is a verdict. Especially with the lawsuit involving a large corporation like GM.

Maybe thats why there was the recall/update on the 14/15 Sierra's. (It made a significant improvement to performance.)

 

The other thing I find helps is lowering the light level of the dash lights at night.

Botttom statement is huge, why a 50k truck doesn't have a dimmer is bs, the radio and dash dimmer should be separate, I actually put a screen protector with a dark piece of tint and it helped greatly!! It was actually giving me headaches, but I like the dash bright,

Hi, I just put the new 2016 sierra 1500 headlights and taillights on my 16 Denali HD. They look sweet. If anyone is interested in how to wire them to make all the options work just shoot me an email [email protected]. I'll post pics soon but it was pretty simple. Every thing fits like factory but you do have to wire the new headlight harness to get them to work. The taillights are plug and play.

I didn't know there was a lawsuit either. I don't think they're atrocious, but they are dimmer than they should be, especially on a $50k+ truck.
