Another disappointing "little thing" GM has taken away.....

Not sure if many have noticed it, but the option to change the color schematics on your Intellilink screen has been deleted......mine is a black background and there are no other options. My 2014 had some nice options if you wished to change it.....blue, red, etc....why GM, why?

I did not even know you could. How do you do it? I would like to see if mine will. I have a 2015 Sierra with the 8" intellink.

Well I no longer have my 2014, but I believe you would go into settings, then display, and all of the screen design options would appear. There were some really nice ones too....now, at least for the Silverados, they have discontinued that option.

Chevy's had this option in 14, GMC did not. Now neither one have it.

I noticed it was missing on my 2015 2500HD, but since the default screen is the one that I used anyway, it makes no difference to me. I was shocked the Chevrolet had it but the GMC didn't.

I'll have to check mine in the morning. I don't remember seeing an option to change the screen. I have a fully loaded 2015 Silverado LTZ, so I would think I would have the option if it is offered.

 

My wife's Grand Cherokee Overland has the ability to change the screen and it's kind of neat.

My 2014 has it and while it is kind of neat I don't ever mess with it anymore. I find I like the default screen the best anyway.

I found it right away, but all the others looked cheesy. Default is best.

The jackasses took away our heated washer fluid a fee years back as well. For the price increases and warranty decreases they impose and we as consumers allow is ridiculous.

The supplier couldn't get them to work correctly. IIRC, this product forced the supplier into bankruptcy.

Jackasses or not, they weren't left with much choice.

They are still jackasses. I could make the washer fluid heated with 2 hrs, 1 red bull, and a decent hardware store.

Then why are you complaining? If it's so easy to make fool proof stop whining and take charge.... heated washer fluid is fairly pointless and I've never even heard of anyone outside of this thread complaining they don't have it.

 

The skins were deleted on all vehicles after 2014 as GM found most customers preferred the standard version. Most people still don't even know it's possible on their 14's.
