What info do they need about the truck when you purchase the auto cal?

And as mentioned above. I assume when you tell them what truck you have + add ons they will do a basic tune that eliminates all the problems we generally have? I ask this because I don't actually have a list of everything I want tuned. I know the transmission needs better shifting and not be so sluggish, maybe more hp( does this happen automatically or can it be done?) AFM disabled( don't really know what this will do if it's disabled )

I'm curious what you had done to yours perhaps?

i just told them I'm looking for more power and to recalibrate the ecu for my new tire size and turn off AFM. I also said I'm sure you're aware of the sluggish and weird shifting these transmissions do so hopefully that can be optimized and smoothed out

Does anyone know if they are doing 17s yet? I need mine done asap lol

I don't see why not. The 17s shouldn't be any different than the previous years.

He said they couldn't do them yet, as of a month or so ago. I haven't seen anyone with a 17 get it tuned yet, so I dunno lol

Okay, I'd missed that. Shoot them an email or PM as the rest of us can only guess. haha

Just an FYI for those curious on time table....I'll add that it sounds like BBP is a little backlogged, and is getting through things first in first out.

I Ordered autocal 9/17 for my 2016 Yukon Denali.

Shipped on 9/20, and received a few days later.

Work travel kept me from doing my log files and reading factory ECM and TCM.

Sent my files on 10/3.

Received acknowledgement and asked what my tuning needs were on 10/8, I responded that day.

Received my tune files on 10/17.

As luck has it I'm traveling again this week so will be Sunday before I can tinker and see my results.

Add me to the list of happy BBP users. I got my tune files yesterday after about 7 business days. I'm all stock otherwise but the tune really cleaned up the shifting and sluggishness my 6 speed had and although I have no idea if there are any actual power gains it sure does feel like a different animal. I didn't request to have AFM turned off but that might be something to keep in mind for the future. I plan to send in my follow up data logging session later this week for them to analyze. It seems like the truck short shifts 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd occasionally now, but I'm really picking nits here given how much better it runs versus two days ago!

GM changed and increased the security to get in the ECU for '17

I also am on the list

Justin stated EFI Live is doing the corvettes first, trucks next for access codes

I'm confused and hoping someone can help. I got my AutoCal today from BlackBear. I downloaded the software to my PC.. all is well. What I do next is confusing. Do I hook it up to my truck right now while it's parked and download the stock data configuration... then after I drive for 30 min I download the engine and trans data files?

Or do I just hook it up and drive for 30 min and send the files? Any help would be great.

I just drove and recorded, uploaded, then uploaded the engine and trans files and sent them all to black bear

Just a little FYI. I had my truck tuned by Blackbear a little over a year ago. It was an in person tune and I chose not to buy an auto cal. I just wanted a "set it and forget it" tune thinking I would not keep the truck too long. Anyway, the point I'm trying to get to is this. For you guys that aren't very good with computers or just don't want to deal with it yourself the "in person" tune is THE WAY to go if its an option for you. I have had zero problems and LOVE my tune. The dealer knows about my tune and couldn't care less but I have to declare that I have bought 5 new Silverados in 7 or 8 years. Plus you get the benefit of having Justin ride along with you and tune your truck just the way you like it. Now this might not sound like a big deal but it makes all the difference in the world when it comes to the TCM. We spent quite a while driving around getting my trans tune dialed in and my truck runs great. Did I gain any more H.P. than normal? Maybe? I doubt it. But my transmission seems to be able to read my mind and I love it. I swear it couldn't be any better if it was a manual and had a clutch. No more banging and clanging, upshifts too soon or any issues like when you would floor it and then "nothing." If thats ever happened to you then you know what I'm talking about. Like with a stick shift I can now just lug around in third gear without all the drama without it upshifting too soon and I get to control when it shifts with the throttle input. So if BBP are coming to a town near you I would send a deposit in and secure a spot. Best 300 bucks I have ever spent. Well.... legally that is.
