My truck got broken into

You can't own anything nice it seems like.

I was parked for maybe 10 mins came back outside and had thought I left my window down. Boy was i wrong, it looks as if they tried to pry the window out bent the door all to hell and scratched the mess out of it. They did all of this to find nothing but 7 dollars. A holes

I'm guessing I'll need a new door? The entire drivers side is scratchEd up. Will they repaint the entire truck on drivers side or patch it up? I'm super bummed.

Here she is in all her glory hopefully she'll look just as good after the repair. Should I ask about diminished value?

That is not broken into. That is vandalism. If they wanted to break into your truck they would have silently lifted the door lock cylinder.

Working in a body shop insurance will fix that door. It is not really bad. Being the scratches are in back of the front door and front of the back there is plenty of Room to blend the color out. You won't even know it was painted if the painter knows what he is doing. Inspect the seal if it had even a small knick make sure to point it out. Stuff like that can get missed and you deserve your truck back to spec.

I had an S-10 broken into years back they took my speakers and stereo nothing fancy. They busted or the rear window which pissed me of more than anything because the doors were open. I never locked it.

I never keep anything of value in my trucks. So i've always said its cheaper to keep the doors unlocked for this very reason. Crooks will do thousands of dollars worth of damage to find nothing or for a couple dollars in change.

With my luck, i'll have my doors unlocked and they won't even check the doors and still bust the window.

Sorry to hear about the break-in, Brother. More and more, everyday on the local news broadcasts, and in the morning papers, we hear about how many more F'ing douchebags are robbing people, stealing packages from homes, breaking into cars, etc.

I am so SICK of having to constantly be "on guard" just because I've got nice things!!!! This world is really getting out of balance, and sadly the common respect for ones fellow man is quickly becoming a distant memory..............

Thanks guys, I have an appointment Monday to get a Quote. One thing I overlooked that they took was my checkbook, they tried writing one at walmart this morning. They have them on video!!

I hope to hell they catch these scumbags
