Failing Starter or Solenoid?

This just recently started. Normally I turn the ignition key forward until vehicle starts and then let the key go. When I do this now, it continues to try and start even after letting the key go. It does this for a few seconds and then stops. I take the key out of the ignition and try again. This time it doesn't want to start until I pump the gas a little.

 

Sounds like failing starter?

Ummm. Not sure what that means or how to do that check.

Nothing wrong with the starter or solenoid from your description.

So how do I check the fuel pressure?
