Almost had a heart attack this week.

Late at night was getting ready for bed. Was lacking doors and Turing off the lights. Felt the house shake and heard a crash.

Grabbed a flashlight and headed outside. Started shining the flashlight around the yard and when I got to the driveway I saw lots of green leaves and wood over the hood of my new truck.

Ran over expecting to find the limb has hit the new truck. Ready to hit my knees and cry like a baby!

But, the tips of the limbs are inches from touching the Sierra. Extreme relief. Now, what did it hit?!? My Avalanche was parked next to the Sierra. The limb is fully on top of the hood of the Avalanche.

Before moving anything I go get keys for both trucks. Back the Sierra to the top of the driveway first. Then start looking at the Avalanche. The limb is long, but it is not very thick. It is actually fairly light, I was able to lift it by myself and drag it over to the side of the driveway.

With the flashlight I can see some scratching in the paint. But no,large dents. Next morning with the sunlight I can see a few small dings, about half dollar in size.

The limb landed on the roof and rolled off into the Avalanche. So thankfully it did not hit full speed. Only damage to the roof is a dent in the gutter.

That was Tuesday night. Today I had that tree cut down. Along with 2 others.

That's why I don't have trees. The Avalanche is one strong vehicle, I wish they didn't stop making them.

I'd grab a gun as well.

Glad everything is alright.

Glad it turned out with minimal damage. Maybe a good paint less dent repair shop can fix and buff out scratches so it's like it never happened.

Yeah, thinking the same thing.

Have had the Avalanche since it was new. This is the first body damage that was not just a door ding. Never been wrecked.
