There was one person that posted that they had purchased one of the Silverados from Costco.I can't remember if was on its own thread or if it was on a established thread of a different topic.

maybe it's just me, but i'd feel soooo weird if people asked, "where did you get your truck?" and i answered, "costco"

i guess a truck is a truck so it doesn't really matter where you buy it from.... but i just can't shake the image of them 'wheeling' out the truck on some oversized orange flat deck buggy with the one wobbly wheel!

from the description above it looks pretty loaded - nice truck!

In 2015, Costco was the number two company in car sales, second only to AutoNation. All that without the traditional sales stores or showrooms. They sold over 400,000 units.

You purchase the vehicle from a dealership using the Costco no haggle price.. You don't purchase it from Costco.

Another program you can try for no haggle deals is car pro. They even have a radio program on Saturdays. You get free car washes more warranty and it's free.

I bought my truck through the Costco program but I still had to go to the dealer to get all the transactions done. Basically it's just a group discount and they do verify your Costco card.

Other than that, it's just like any ordinary new vehicle purchase. So I just answered from "blah" Chevy through Costco's discount program.

Unless you want he special Costco edition silverado, you can get a better deal haggling on your own.

Yes - when GM offers 20% off MSRP on TV ads, Costco is not competitive, most recent ads are offering 18% off selected trucks (the 2 oldest on the dealer lot) Costco is not a bad deal - just visit your dealer and say "I want 20 or 25% off and I'll buy today" see what happens ...

Deals are only now beginning with those big deals as they are trying to get rid of the 16's. If you buy it earlier (like I did in Feb), then you have no choice. I tried and they didn't budge , they said the internet pricing was the best and Costco's prices was better. In hindsight I should've waited until the end of the year. but o well.

Time of year defintely plays into when deals are to be had. They say the best time is to buy around the Holidays, Memorial Day or at the end of the model year. The problem with buying near the end of the model year is your option can be limited as manufacturers scale back production in the Summer.

I always buy during times of the best deals, end of model year or Dec 31. I usually end up with more options for less money or just pay less for a package for 10-12 K less than sticker.
