LED Hi Beams Not Working

Hey guys,

 

Just installed LED replacement high beam bulbs for my truck, followed the directions and then started it and clicked the switch...nothing. Ideas? Anyone had this problem? The lights are good quality and came with an inline Anti Flicker/CANBUS canceller unit that can be plugged in between the unit and the stock plug. I know these trucks don't have the CANBUS system but would the anti flicker affect anything? I tried both with and without the units and still nothing. Do I need an inline relay? I didn't purchase one because figured with the low power draw I wouldn't need one for the lights to work.

low power may be the problem

LED and its goal is 8 times less...might not be kicking the relay tug.

 

I have all LED in my truck including dash, cargo lampo, third brake..the whole darn thing..

 

except headlights.

if the LED came heatsinked, that is a good bright pair...should be able to use oem relays. My subaru could not, and those were famous for being 60+ watts and raosting the glass lense sealant.

 

You did not mention the amplifier they come with, it is a unique gadget for diode lamps.

 

if you like tinkering, try jumping relay.

 

the drop in power use is incredible. I rewired my subaru to have ALL lights on one cool relay instead of 3 on fire.(truly amazing).

Thanks Barry. Got off the horn with the tech support guys and they said to just flip the plugs and connect everything up again...which I think is some horsesh*t. Apparently they swear by it though. I had heard you can use a relay, you think it may be because LED's don't draw enough current to trip the factory relay? How would a new relay change that?
